Why does this story sound familiar, and coming from the same crowd too?
Because they use the same line every time someone points out the tragically horrible failures of Socialism /Communism every time it has been attempted.
It is always the incorrect application that is to blame, never the theory itself.

Flu still at record low in US. Peak occurs between Oct and Feb. Nearly half way through already.

Well in Manitoba flu "cases" are also close to zero. Roussin was asked about this and said "it's because of wearing masks and following the precautions". Then the next day Manitoba get's locked down because we're "not wearing masks and not obeying the precautions".

Was in S’toon yesterday. Wow, business as usual. No one “social distancing”, everyone thinking masks are the answer obviously. I could not believe the crowds of ppl in all the stores.

They seem to think masks will save them.

Masks are only 70 % effective at best. Keep your distance , sanitize your hands and don't touch your face. Without shields eyes are susceptible if you are in close contact.

Well, I will join you in blaming all the others I saw. Because while I naturally keep my distance as a rural, respector of personal space, 96% of ppl I saw yesterday, don’t share my sentiment.

I remember I was the one being blamed before. That ppl like me would enhance Covid spread. Then I went, and I saw. It’s them. It’s the 96%

                I blame the 96%.

This thing is never going to go away at this rate!

Hence all the rules and lockdowns. People are generally stupid and selfish. That's why when you go spouting off about anti mask, conspiracy theories, figuring it's a hoax etc, most of us put you in the category of the 96%. Your choice how you want to be perceived.
