We've had strict measures and lockdowns.

Most agree its for the greater good but has hurt economy.

Not to much chest beating about our rights etc.

Sort of for the greater good, or we over me.

Most australians want it gone and elimination mindset but tis a wishful thought.

Saw a survey yesterday 7/10 australians agree with measures that have been in place.

You guys have put vids up over the last few months of how “bad” things were in parts of oz during lockdown.

Went into local regional centre about 9500 people a few wearing masks, got asked to mask up entering a bank
Supplied or use your own. Almost a oxymoron.


I complied

Masks not mandatory that passed after 7 days a few weeks back.

Mandatory on public transport.

2 bussinesses had to sign a declaration time entered full name address email mobile number and time left.

And previous bussiness visited.

I suggested app shows all this but not everybody has app.

Just comply move on get home asap.

Yeah.... that’s definitely only a socialist trait.

At one time I voted socialist[liberal] federally when they were a fiscally sensible, approachable govt.
All governments show a certain degree of arrogance during question period, but if pressed hard they will answer a question as they know the voters are watching.

The present govt has taken arrogance to a level that few have ever seen before, but being unable to change this govt has put many people in a helpless position. This frustration coupled with a huge change in lifestyle in the past 9 months has significantly altered some peoples tolerance levels.

For the people who are comfortable with leaders who abandon common sense on such a gigantic life changing scale, I applaud you, maybe a university prof or genetics enabled you.

For the rest of us who mix common sense and a dabble of risk on a daily basis it is truly disheartening to see the incompetence in Ottawa taking place and coupled with covid restrictions, you may want to cross the street when you see me coming.

What is particularly galling about the political left in this covid debacle is that they are pushing lockdowns in order to pretend to care about the elderly which are the more vulnerable while at the same time pushing euthanasia to get rid of these same elderly at the same time.

The trouble with masks is people think they are imune for catching the chinese flu I have a sister in law that goes twice a day to walmart with a mask.I go sometimes but without a mask I am willing to bet that I have alot less chance of picking it up as her. We have to use common sense nobody seems to have it no more.

I’ve read it numerous times.

My post had nothing to do with the current government, or any government.

It was a mockery of the idea that only people of one political ideal think they’re right and all else are stupid. That is an individual trait, not a political, religious, cultural, etc trait. A socialist is no more likely to feel they’re always right and everyone else is stupid than a Conservative is. As proven time and again by the extreme orators of each side on this site.

Tolerance or impatience with current situations should have little reflection on thinking everyone else with a different view is an idiot. I’m tired of many things, it doesn’t mean I think people who aren’t or feel or think otherwise are morons.

The point is blaithin, big claims require big evidence, not leaps of faith. That is not ideology, thats common sense.

If someone is going to come on and make prescriptions for everyone to do something for some greater cause, they better have some damn evidence before making such a claim. I am still waiting for any evidence any of these rulings work, all I see is an escalating blame game that the same SJWs are getting behind to shame another group.

Same goes with the crowd saying oil is bad then publishing 30 yrs of failed studies.

And now they are trying it with the great reset to tell us socialism is good when the evidence is clearly against it.

When evidence cant be reliably produced yet the narrative and agenda is still pushed relentlessly, the contrarian position is more likely correct.

That is why this is going nowhere. Socialists think they are right and the other guy is stupid, wont concede an inch and are not prepared to examine evidence that does not support their theory. Debate with them is less productive than debating a fencepost so no use even trying.

Those traits definitely accurately describe the small handful of really special socialists who have chosen agriville to preach their gospel.
Tolerance or open minded are the last words that come to mind.
But maybe we are just lucky to attract such willfully blind ideologues, and they are not representative of the broader political movement.
