Forage, you didn't adress my concers at all. Are you OK with someone else deciding for you what is and isn't disinformation? And do you feel that someone out there is even capable of making that decision?

Even the concept that there is such a thing as an immutable truth when it comes to anything relating to science is laughable. When science itself is ever in flux, always evolving as new evidence keeps updating and in some cases completely replacing the old.

Does acitvity such as this not fuel the conspiracy theories?

Where would humanity be if these policies you support had been applied throughout history? If the church were still permitted to decide what is fake news, and censor all opponents as it was throughout much of history, where would we be? We certainly wouldn't be debating whether to take an mRNA vaccine created in such record time, since none of that technology would have evolved if no one was permitted to question the prevailing wisdom of creationism, to give only one example.

Taken to the extreme, what you propose would stall science and progress completely.

The discussion on the thread was taking the vaccine. I stated I took my Doctor's professional medical advice, and didn't rely on social media platforms to make my decision.

You on the other hand are sitting on the fence regarding Covid and the vaccine as you can't find the information on a social media platform that suits your narrative. You then come on here trying to play the game of the dog chasing it's tail with me regarding what is or isn't disinformation being removed on social media platforms and who decides that.

You want to challenge Twitter and Facebook on the issue of deciding what is disinformation or not regarding Covid or the vaccine, go ahead, good luck with that.

All of the medical TV talking heads are coming out now saying the vaccine wont keep you from being infectious so now you still need to wear a mask, keep your distance and no travel, limited contact, closed business for another 2 yrs.

What is the point of the vaccine then? Is it going to raise the survival from 99.5% to 99.7%? A vaccine thats only 90% effective or less wont do that. It NEVER will.

And in the UK just as the vaccine rolls out, a new variant of covid has been identified. Get ready for the news stories about that and you will need a modified booster every 6 months etc cause we cant make them real fast now and safety protocols have been thrown in the garbage.
