Is it possible to face-time them(if they're techy enough) or phone lots.

My Dad was in the hospital again and this time no one was able to stay with him and help with his care and be an "interpreter". He did fine but he sure would have liked a family member to be there. I'm glad he's home again and out of ("more") harms way. Corona would definitely take him out! We made sure to get his cell phone to him.

The hospital definitely has less non essential traffic mulling around in it. Security at main entrances then a screening process before you can get further in..... and the wards/units are heavily monitored too. Anyone in "street clothes" is very suspect.....especially if they don't have a Sask Health worker ID card clipped to them or hanging from a lanyard around their neck.

Can't wait for this to be over!

Looks like a total of 15 people in Saskatchewan died of influenza last year. Seems like maybe covid-19 is deadlier. But I don't know... maybe the number 98 (deaths from covid so far) is actually less than the number 15?

Most of the old people that died, didn’t get tested for the flu, they just died, flue or not.

Evidently, someone discovered the fountain of youth in 2019, only to watch it's flow ebb dramatically in 2020.

Oh really? I wonder how many covid-19 deaths there are then... I would assume the same proportion are just dying, without being tested. Or does that only happen with influenza?

FWIW Dr Hinshaw said today the AB death toll in 10 months has now surpassed the total of the past 10yrs of Flu deaths in the province. 760 deaths, about 140 in ICU.
