My daughter lives with a guy from the city as well, who is also in construction with a couple tandems and knows how to fix. Started out building homes but got tired of it.

The guy's a beast when it comes to work and ambition!

Honestly, I will choose electric heat. It is the safest and cheapest method to heat and keep a comfortable temperature in your house. Personally, I am using solar panels. I have used them for quite a while, and to be honest, I am delighted with them. So if some of you will decide to purchase solar panels, I can recommend you the company from where I've purchased mine. Here is their website dragonsbreathsolar.co.uk(https://www.dragonsbreathsolar.co.uk/) .By the way, this is my personal opinion, so please don't be hostile towards it. Wish everyone a wonderful day.

In 1989 we built our house with 2x6 with 2x4 staggered walls.R60 ceilings.
Upgraded to the latest energy-efficient furnace last yr.
Our delivery charge plus carbon tax are
        Higher than monthly gas usage.
        NG all the way..

1975 2x4 + styro, R 17 walls, triple low E windows, R 50 ceiling, 1400 Sq Ft, 96% Goodman furnace, Hi efficiency HW, the last bill came today, $607.24 for one year. Gas supply under 50% of bill too, a crying shame, actually a CRIME!

            Fu ck you evil Turd!

Cost $2600 for gas line in 1985, second best investment on the farm, Dryer was $4500 for 4.5 MBTU, best investment. But who knew? Hind sight easy now.

Sure NOT cold in the house! Be thankful for Nat Gas!

Sask powder ended up trenching in more power quicker than we expected so went that way. Wasn't expecting to but this spring at auction ended up buying a complete oil rig generator power shack from an oil field auction. 320 KW generator powered by 3406 Cat. Under $20 K . Will power everything for sure.
now you need to convert into NG

I’d love having natural gas but 130 grand was a little costly 10 years ago, it’ll be interesting what heating costs are in the next 10 years.

Wood, hands down. Only fuel source the government can't control or regulate.

Can’t beat the warmth of a wood stove or fireplace, but now that I’m older cutting wood is not near as fun as it used to be. Natural gas is the clear winner for heating my house and shop now.
