Interesting, I read a Smithsonian mag series of articles on the 1918 flu, origins, progression, etc. Predictions of next pandemic, origins progression, etc.
Effects on public information, acceptance, attitudes, perceptions and govt actions said same. Read like a history of 2020.
From 2017.
All I can say to this thread is its Ozs' business not mine.
History and life like drilling through gravel. Keep the table turning and fingers crossed on circulation. Only fingertips and hearts can feel the spark. The rest is buffalo chips.
Keep a cool tool Mallee.

No idea blackpowder whos right whos wrong.
From a complete and utter farming perspective could say its had little impact on my bussieness and or lifestyle except our ongoing spat with china after PM asked some pointed questions.
Ive masked up about half a dozen times big deal.

Wuflu version 1.0 was so contagious you had to wear a mask, gloves, and wash your hands religiously or you would be struck down. You were only safe from it if you were seated and eating, then it missed you. The new version 2.0 has been released now and we are told it is even more contagious. They are working on the story for version 3.0 soon to be released in a few months to really scare the people who have not submitted themselves over yet.

Its just 2 weeks to flatten the curve, dont overwhelm our healthcare system that got ZERO funding, masks will stop it, social distancing will stop it, lockdown will stop it, then lockdown 2 and 3 etc and now a vaccine will stop it. And then version 2.0 of the vaccine. and you will still be infectious anyway so still no travel and you have to wear mask anyway and stay 6 ft apart forever.
Just keeps going.
On and on and on.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-confirms-first-cases-covid19-uk-variant-1.5855361 Ontario identifies first cases of COVID-19 U.K. variant in the province
And the arrivals keep coming and coming and coming...
Our family split up for xmas and had half the people get together, cause covid, but dozens of planes land everyday in this country waived on through by the wal mart greeter.
