Canola same price as red lentils. Now there’s something to think about. Wonder where lentil acres will be this yr?

20% sold canola this am. April delivery $14.75 per bu.

Highest I have ever seen. Sold some for $14 back in 2013.

I see articles about china fing around with the canola trade, pests and dockage. They are all fired up to squeeze the west now that Biden is in. I would say she is time to pull the pin.

        #1 durum $8.68
        #2 durum $8.45
        #2 or better reds 27c

Fall contracts on canola offered at $12.

Will wait. Nov contract has lots of room and lots of time

Will not sell physical. Too dry. Will buy insurance. Lots and lots of it. Let the brokers feed their families

Isn't this the window of opportunity, that our farm groups should be lobbying for it?

On part of what we grow act of god clause are available. Malt barley and pulse contacts have them for a price. If i want to offset new crop canola sales options are there but can be pricy. It is interesting to watch the open interest in the options trade these days and what things are trading at. We just haven't seen a big enough jump IMO in new crop to sell much yet.
