Canada's health care is joke?

That's not what SK3 was saying before Christmas, our Canadian system THANKFULLY saved his life, like it should have and what he deserved as a Canadian.

I have immediate family in Sask going through cancer right now, and all the family is stating the health care providers have done and excellent job. The family member spend a few nights just this week in the hospital and the care was very good.

Your always negative towards anything Canadian anyways, just because there is no political party found within Canada that fits your specific wants.

A close friend died at 20 this fall. Why? Because our health care system is a joke. He had an appointment in place for a post traumatic car accident scan. He had recovered well. But because the claimed Covid was having an effect on the hospital, ( there were zero cases of controllovirus in the hospital in question at that time), they cancelled the appointment and scan, which would have shown a repairable blood clot. He died because of incompetence at who knows what level?

Forgive me if I have real life and death experience about our pathetic health care system failing a 20 year old healthy young man with his life ahead of him. Is it all pathetic? No! But this scam caused his death.

In retrospect, I should have invited you to the funeral where you could explain to his younger siblings how great our health care system is.

If you want good health care in Canada, you have to be a strong advocate in your treatment. I find there are a large group of people that are happy to have any care at all and for most routine stuff that works.

But if you are facing something more serious, you need to get to a big city hospital joined with a medical university. That is where the body of knowledge is in this country as best as we can get.

But if you are facing the real deal, it might cost a few bucks, but the Mayo will never stop trying until you tell them. Thats what Canada is lacking, the private model, all in spare no expense to heal patients and advance the field.

Thats why no vaccine was made here either. All those medical advancements are coming out of the US. Trudeau had billions at his disposal and couldnt even get masks made.

Perhaps you would like to be the guards that have to deal with inmates. Vaccinations are not for saving the inmates but for the guards or healthcare workers that have to deal with outbreaks in prisons.

It is now known that ventilators are not the solution for the vast majority of severe cases. They may actually worsen the condition and prognosis for those who are able to breathe on their own.

Lay'em face-down, plug in high levels of supplemental oxygen - proven to be sufficient until the sick person recuperates with the help of thera-peutics.

Case in point - we had an older, "retired" chap deliver our grain bin in here last fall and 2 days later he came down sick, tested positive. 85 years old, looks and acts younger than lots of guys 25 years younger.

Went to hospital a week in, pretty sick, difficulty breathing.

They told him he should go on a ventilator - please sign here.

He said no thanks, haven't heard much good about them.

So he stayed off the vent, they laid him face down and cranked the oxygen up to max.

He recovered just fine and is a month plus past it now. Not without a struggle for a while, but he's 85!!

So there should be some pretty good deals on new, in-package ventilators coming up in the spring sales catalogues.




P.S. - gave me pause having been in close contact with him, even if not for long. So we cut off all contact with others for two weeks. Thankfully, we didn't get sick - or at least, symptoms.

Not only do they care only about self-enrichment, they want to punish the very ones who create and build the wealth. And these people are for the most part not their supporters.
