About 4 going across the state.

I high rainfall high fuel load areas mostly.

EMERGENCY WARNING FOR A BUSHFIRE BURNING UNDER EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS

Issued for Hicks Hill Road, Orchard Road, Lewis Street, Prith Road near Cherry Gardens
You are now in danger. Take shelter in a solid building. Do not leave or enter this area in a vehicle or on foot. It is too late to leave as the roads will not be safe.

Conditions are dangerous and firefighters are now unable to prevent the fire spreading. Shelter before the fire arrives as heat can kill you well before the flames reach you.

The CHERRY GARDENS, HICKS HILL ROAD fire is uncontrolled. This scrub fire is burning in a East North Easterly direction towards Scott Creek Conservation Park. Conditions are continually changing.

Knew it was cold as the house was popping and banging overnigt.

Cold would kill you to if you got caught out for long.

I suppose that is the risk of a wet year. The growth of more fuel for when it gets hot and dry.

Is your area going to be at risk over the next few months?

I think in BC they have started to realize that by quickly putting out forest fires over the years they have created huge fuel loads that burn incredibly hot. When these fires take place they become much more difficult to control.

Not sure how they manage the situation in Australia. I am sure most growth after a wet year becomes a risk in future years.

                      Asshats

Suggested every fire yesterday deliberately lit.

They have caught one guy he may have done them all.

Police caught him speeding away from a fire

Most arsonists get a fair stretch when found guilty sort of 3 to 4 years. If people killed 20.

The do gooder types suggest many reasons and locking them up dont help, nope dontvwork in our state lockem up throw away key for a while

Ummm........ in conditions like that if someone decides to be a firebug they deserve attempted murder charges at a minimum.

I’m legally responsible for any fire accidental or intentional here.

Just enough snow that there’s no risk of a runaway here but still easy to clean up.

17 mm of rain last three hours cooled things down 28 mm in fire ravaged areas
