What if the govt tracers showed up at your house and said your family needs to be in a detention center and separated for 14 days.
That would be ok?
People have given up a year of their lives to this thing. How much more sacrifice do you want?
By the same token if one of these pleasure travellers from covid hot spots was your child's teacher, parents caregiver or wife's co-worker would you think asking for a covid test before exposing your loved ones was unreasonable?
Or if a family member needed urgent health care but was refused or postponed due to an outbreak in the hospital caused by someone deliberately refusing to follow the rules, is that acceptable?
I'm generally a middle of the road kind of guy and think common sense should usually get you through life. I'm not looking for more rules, but do think travel restrictions make sense. If there are rules in place, I expect people to follow them because I have to believe in the sense of right and wrong in general. If something appears wrong it should be questioned, not disregarded.

But because the cases are low in schools, I trust they use reason mostly. I dont want them monitored or locked down harder just because they look after my kids. That would be more than selfish to impose extra restrictions on one group but not another.
And proof is there are very few cases coming from all the areas that have been restricted the hardest. The govts own data says so.

The worst offender was none of the above.
The vacation traveler that comes to mind is our prime minister. The guy who spends $200,000.00 of taxpayer's money and 6 Challenger jet flights on his family vacay?
You know who I mean - the one who just slammed the door for all subsequent vacationers?
And is making them go into forced detainment at their own expense?
Surprising how many just contentedly polish those Jackboots.

Some kind of government agency leased the top floor of the hotel next to the golf course in town to use as storage for people who have to self isolate for any reason.
Might be best described as street people. Multiple abusers in isolation.
Private security supplied to keep them from wandering around inside and out. Dispensing alcohol to keep DT's away.
Reports are most enjoy thier stay.
Might be an opportunity to buy that hotel when this is over.Last edited by shtferbrains; Jan 31, 2021, 17:33.
