Just-in . . . . U.S. jobless 1st time claims much higher than expected approaching 800,000 over the past week. Stock market should rally over this news . . . more Fed stimulus in-the-making.

A little does of reality. Money talks. All the natives that didn’t want the pipeline were paid protesters

Maybe a wakeup call for the trades. My nephews are trades , plumbers, electricians, wrench pullers, never short of work and pays well. Any dam fool can make coffee even crusty old farmers. In smaller towns older tradespeople retire and nobody wants to take over which means you pay $200 just for mileage from nearest town.

Plumbers always on call here. No one can be without fresh water, or sewer. Don't even need to be a plumber, just a handyman willing to get dirty and you can make big bucks.

But main electrical service company has laid off several electricians. No jobs to be had right now, either residential or industrial. Jobs are hit and miss for welders here too. Even equipment shops have slowed down a bit. Carpenters staying busy.

Best plumber around here is the one that answers his phone.

No kidding. I needed a furnace guy last week in the evening, called 2 guys that have been in bus a long time both said they only do new installs. The one had just installed my system 4 or 5 yrs ago. No service work are you kidding? Did find a new fellow just starting up and he came right away, wasnt cheap though. Like with most businesses customer service has gone to pot, just not hungry enough.

Number 2 son is a second year electrician, all the work he wants, his cousin is a rig welder thinking he should go deliver pizza.
