Site C will be the last and its more than double its original cost. NFLD is bankrupt due to hydro.

We could restart an awesome hydro 2.0 economy here with the americans support but they will want the water AND power this time.

The only way it hits home is when it happens to them personally , sometimes even that doesn’t work

And just to prove your point, in response to my post regarding the preposterously impossible scale and expense of using storage for anything practical, the resident non-critical thinker ( or is that critical non-thinker?) makes not one, but 4 posts touting batteries and storage as the solution.
It would be funny, except our leaders are people just like him.

just thinking...if everyone had an electric car and tractor that the environmentalists wanted...would the power grid be able to charge all the equipment and vehicles and heat everyone's homes on a minus 35 day with wind and solar...

Where would the environmentalists be on a minus 30 day with an electric vehicle society???

Hydro electric done right has the ability to be a very lucrative project with a ton of spin off benefits.

Linking up power from water, irrigation, manufacturing, processing, recreation and waterside residential development would be a huge boon to an area and you would have broad support for such ideas

A few places check all those marks like on the prairies, maybe southern BC interior, but unfortunately lots of Canadas hydro development has been up north in the shield where none of that works.

Not sure why the S Sask cant be dammed up in 3 or 4 more places.

Total lack of vision from our leaders. Our federal infrastructure money is being spent on gender studies and sustainable bike paths in Montreal.

Better than a zero month shipping season like we have off the east and west coasts. Tanks hold oil until the shipping season arrives.

We need another outlet for our resources and grain instead of going through hostile woke territories and thats our only option.
