I just find it very funny the differences between the way govts handled the Depression and then the mobilization and war years compared to this.
If all pols' the same. Can anyone with a straight face say they have full confidence in Ski Bunny Boy?
    C'mon man....

In which case I will certainly thank Manitoba taxpayers for all the donations of vaccines they bought but will have no use for in province and they then donate to countries in need.
I think dml, you said the federal govt had this covered so I would think there is no reason for Pallister to get involved. If we have 400M vaccine doses secured, we should be good, right?

Then why did he start his own program?

Here's the solution: keep governments out of the production, purchase and distribution of vaccines. Let private companies offer it for sale just as we do for every other pharmaceutical and a staggering array of goods beyond that.

We've already lost a year dealing with this, so further delays will just crash the economy that much harder.
What you suggest would be a huge step backwards.

I am sure you would love a system where the richest people get to pay for early access with no plan for the poor elderly folks who are at much higher risk?

The BC Casino CEO who flew to the Yukon with his wife/girlfriend to fraudulently get his "free" vacinne lost his job in shame.

From what I see keep the Government out of everything. We would be a much stronger happier Nation without the huge debt if the Government wasn't involved. Government screw up everything they touch!

I only told you what Canada ordered. I have no details on delivery or contract details and neither do you. And I don't know why Pallister decided to purchase what he did, for delivery if it is approved when ever that will be, why don't you ask him. I

DMLfarmer has been telling us Trudeau has everything under control. 🤡

Count on every premier to be ordering vaccines.

Attitudes at all levels are different now compared to 85 years ago, and I agree govts job is to monitor.
But anyone with any fair mind at all can see what govts are not good at.
Who did govts turn to for wartime production solutions in two world wars?
                    Has anyone owned a Belarus?
                    I rest my case.
Demanding govts to take complete control of everything is actually a century out of step and quite narrow minded at that. Touching on imbecilic really.
It works in China. But this ain't China.

So what if the rich get early access? They drive nicer cars than I do, but that has no impact on my ability to purchase a Chevy.

Every day countless Canadians purchase inexpensive, widely available pharmaceuticals, simply because a price system is allowed to exist for these items. They are not sold via auction; rich people pay the same as anyone else.

Since the rich are allegedly about 1% of the population, that would only hold up the line for a few days at most.

Any other system condemns people to a life as Soviet peasants.
