It is beyond odd that people are embracing this as a win. It is even more odd that people think carbon dioxide is pollution, and that taxing it will cool an already cold countries’ climate.

Most odd, is that this tax on everything, will make everything cost more. You can’t make this up. Yet here we are, with a now affirmed tax on everything, to solve a problem that really isn’t there. Common sense is gone. Our forefathers, er forepeoplekind, would think we are the most insane generation ever.

    They’d be right.

So if Moe puts an approved plan in place and for once thinks about his most loyal voters, can’t all farmers get a full refund?

Stupid will cure stupid eventually. Wait till the cost rises to the point that it interferes with the eco loones standard of living.

Chief, that day will be when those with desire will make us all 'equal' financially. And those with power will insure their luxury.

Didn’t trudeau say that the provinces have to charge a carbon tax or the federal government will impose one? However if the province charges the tax, he said we can do what ever we want with it.

Why not charge the tax on one line of your invoice and rebate it back on the next? Problem solved.

What ticks me off is; the challenge likely had little chance legally and was politics for the provinces.
Also, that the judges rather than sticking to the constitutional black and white, deemed a scientific theory as real.

For some reason, I'm thinking cap gains tax is going to hit home a little harder for the urban dweller than ct. Moe turtled, the courts turtled, but revolutions begin over taxes, whether it is French history, American or Roman. Crank it up higher, let's see what happens. The fact they are increasing taxes after ramping up the debt limit by 50+% means taxes are not for funding govt. They are punitive against productivity.

This proved to me that the Supreme Court of Canada is now more of a political institution than a legal one. The dissenting opinions are quite interesting though!

I wonder how much impact Moes skeleton in the closet, had on towing the nationalist line after losing yesterday? One thing about politicians with dirt in the background, you can make them sing and dance any way you wish. I think we are at the point they only get picked because they can be "encouraged" to go a certain way if they start getting ideas. That's a lot of dirt he's packing around and it did seem rather odd he'd get the nod from SP officials.

It looks like the Supreme Court should be classified unconstitutional, this carbon scam has gone on long enough, maybe a little common sense needs to be injected into the politicians.

Groceries and parts have jumped big time ( freight surcharges ) nobody getting that back anytime soon. Looks like Justin is hammering poor people big time but he wouldn't know a poor person anyway so it doesn't matter.

The days of idle threats are gone. Unless AB steps up and stands up with something around the pension plan and equalization formula, probably better to place nice with Trudeau.

He has every institution in his pocket and its impossible to fight against that.

The US is going with the green scam as well. Lets see if the sparks fly down there.
