Once an infectious disease is endemic it's nonsensical to prevent a tiny proportion of people moving from A to B. The variants narrative is completely fallacious. I'm immunologically trained & can see gaping holes in the story. As an illustration, note that the most-different variant is still 99,7% identical to the original sequence. There's no way on earth that a 0.3% change will allow a variant to not be recognised by the immune system as the same virus. It's as if I put my baseball cap on back to front & expecting not to be recognised as Dr Mike Yeadon. Worse, once you realise it's all lies re variants, you surely get a wash of fear? Why have they all but closed borders? Why are they making top up vaccines? Why have global medicines regulators decided no safety studies are required? What's happened & happening does not add up. Once you accept that, you should become sceptical. There's risk of being told you're silly if you ask questions. But the far bigger risk is NOT questioning things. No one is going to come & put all this mess right. Only we can do that & only if enough of us say "I'm not putting up with this nonsense a moment longer", Please do that. Anyway his predictions for the necessity of vaccinations in England weren't on the right side of what history has since shown to be the case. While successful within skin disease areas and a company and a research area that Phizer abandoned; his judgement and predictions for Covid missed the mark. .

Burnt has postulated that extending a second dose should be a game changer; even though the Phase 3 Phizer and Moderna (and certainly the Astra Zeneca Great Britain experience ) delays of second doses have; to my knowledge; been shown to have caused any relapses or reinfectionsin individuals who have not yet received booster doses.

Admittedly the Phase 3 trials had to end at some date or they would have gone on forever; and no application for emergency use (or much later approved vaccine) could have been entertained by the regulators.

The bottom line ; as has been said if you read it; is the risk/benefit ratio in such a case.
Nothing is 100% certain and time is of the essence. Did you really expect the initial dose to work worth a shit anyway/

Until you can report hospitalization required as a result of said delay; or ICU admissions and significant disease effects from stretching the booster dose interval (in order to give 100% hospitalization and significant disease issues to double the number of humans that has NOT resulted in your fears materializing.

Like I said....time will tell. Your concern for claimed resultant mutations (actually Covid variants of concern) because of delayed second doses is outweighed by not being able to protect the same number of individuals denied even their initial dose. That dear sir is a much more significant possibility of "mutations" arising than from first dose vaccinated persons. You are denying as many persons 100% protection from hospitalization because of a newly found distraction of a two dose regime.
I also seriously doubt if the vaccine manufacturers dictate what approvals and conditions are attached. They provide data which regulators scrutinize. And that fact appears to most bother persons such as the vocal right wing participating.

The unfortunate part is that no one in the camp will admit even that Covid is a true pandemic; and that it is serious; and certainly with no eradication in sight; nor any control of variants required.. And the disinformation you spread can do great harm. You may someday have to live with your actions. Oh! Any time you wish to match wits on any issue of the times...please advise. First just get a grasp on what your position is.

Interesting statement. Of course most reading this will jump to the conclusion that it is because it is Quebec, French, or Trudeau connection. But there are less conspiratorial possibilities too.

Could it be that there are simply more older people in Quebec. After all, Quebec as the highest life expectancy of any province or territory in Canada at 82.9 years, a full half year longer than Ontario which is second in life expectancy.
Median age in Quebec is also 5 years older than the prairie province media ages. So when vaccines are rolled out by age, you would expect a province with more older people would likely get more vaccines first.
Could it be old people in Quebec are more accepting to getting vaccinated. After all there has been a lot more deaths/100,000 in Quebec than elsewhere in the country so Quebecers may be less likely to refuse to get vaccinated no matter their age, and especially older people more at risk.

Could it be that the stats Case is basing his "question" on is not on fully vaccinated people but rather on shots. After all, Quebec was the first province in Canada that extended the time period between shots. So while it appears a higher percentage got vaccinated, it could be fewer have received the second shot than in other provinces. I could not find a comparison of fully vaccinated by province.

Most interesting is Case makes the insinuation about Quebec but ignores the territories which have triple the rate of vaccinations that Quebec has. Vaccination % who have received at least one dose by province/territory as of March 20th: Yukon 52.66%, NWT 48.96%, Nunavut 30.13% Quebec 11.03% BC 10.46% etc. Yet when you check to see percentages of people who received the second shot, BC drops from 5 place to second last at 1.69% Same could be true for Quebec.

My point is, it is easy to point fingers but you need to ask questions of any stats. The answer is not always political.

Oh and by the way, according to this site, as of March 20th still 40% of those aged 80 and over in Canada had not received a vaccination be it because they are not available to them, or they don't want it.

And do you think this number should be questioned at all given a number of US intelligence agencies have linked globalresearch.ca to Russian disinformation campaigns going back at least 5 years.

It already is. The public can go to Vaers to know the US adverse reactions or the Eudravigilance to Europe adverse reactions information on any vaccine. Of course you only see the raw stats before it is twisted by the bias of who ever is using it to support their point. (right or left, vax or anti vax, etc)
