Once again hit the wrong button but I agree with a couple of your statements above....

Sadly very few industries that provide so much to the Canadian economy are ignored like agriculture.

Eventually airlines will quietly get a handout ...probably April 19th.

Clean seed is getting government money...

I have never understood why industries that can cover their costs and tack on a profit need government help. Clean seed might make it or be bought out by a major...Claas needs a drill for their lineup...

Air Canada has people chomping at the bit to take a trip when things get back to half ass noral.

Chuck some comments made since only on is we are bot dryer that 1981 on.

1961 was one of the worst it didn’t rain that year.

1930 clouds would form and nothing dad says.

Crap insurance is over tomorrow and yea ag stab is available till June

1981 was the driest year here in my memory, started april 4 and never rained. There was a bad year in the 60s and 1938 was the worst. In 81 i was buying grain and a guy called to see if he could haul his crop in, i replied we are getting full, how much you got, his answer was whatever is on the truck.

Clean Seed Corp is permanently on the govt tit. I can’t see how that is a thing. Sure their drills look ok. The zero till drill for Africa looks simple and effective. Perplexes me that any seed tech in western Canada has been born in farm shops and built from the ground up while this outfit seems top down. To me it’s a hammer looking for a nail.

Ya, what gives,,, we were forecast 10-15mm rain Mon-Tues next week,,, now this morning it's all gone.
Would have been a nice warm rain to wash all the dirt away from this last storm, and would've got the grass and weeds started, but this morning, it's all gone.

You know you are in a drought when they forecast rain and even when they say 100% rain starting tomorrow and it doesn’t happen! On wet years they don’t even forecast it and it rains an inch!

I would say 81,88,02 would all have been drier than this year in this area. 02 was bad because 01 was dry.

With inflation considered, 2001 to 2004 was a very tough few years here

20 bus in the 60’s still paid the bills
