I would say it’s a wake up call for the industry for fudging stocks as long as they did and saying there will be record crops year after year after year.
It’s their job to buy as cheap as possible but they finally got caught .
Predictions of huge crops before seeding reminds me of predictions of an ice free Arctic by 2020 ... oh wait .. it’s 2021
It all needs to be taken with a grain of salt , but when false predictions cost farmers money is lower crop values or higher than necessary carbon tax’s it a problem.
But it’s always finger pointing and excuses after the fact with zero accountability to lost revenue for us.
Agree partners , lets just hope for an average crop and see where the chips fall now . Prices are decent but will need a crop to capitalize. Until that happens , high crop prices mean little other than increased costs in the meantime.
