I didn’t realize water had a melting point and sea ice melts at 32°F
CC would be even more alarmed to know sea ice melts at a lower temp of 28.8°F, for some the end of the world can’t come soon enough.
Meanwhile the pocket gopher mounds 1/2 frozen again this morning.

Amazing that [in East Central AB] the gophers are not out yet here... no green grass so nothing for them to eat anyway!

Another week of freezing temps coming... with no precip... How high will the canola go... no one will know...

Water’s melting point, 32°F, is a critical threshold for rapid change in polar regions, and only a small fraction of the snow on Antarctica’s miles-high ice sheet reaches that temperature in summer. Antarctica is also surrounded by a vast ocean, and it’s buffered by winds and weather patterns that tend to isolate it from large warm-air intrusions. Still, the frozen continent has become warmer, and has lost billions of tons of ice as a result. Its future responses to warming air and ocean could have worldwide consequences.

How does one actually know if the ice is increasing or decreasing unless u have been there to see it yourself. Any fool can cut and paste shit from the internet. More than half is bullshit and lies unless u have been there and done it to prove it to yourself. I heard how the polar bears were dying and the sea ice was disappearing for the last 25 years. When I go back to Churchill the ice still comes in in the fall and the polar bears are there waiting to leave. So when the Chuck and Larry’s of the world claim to know one thing or another most of the time the phuckers have no clue. Just what some study said by a paid off scientist. And don’t get me wrong there are a lot of scientist that are worth their efforts but I seen some real winners that were studying the polar bear decline and the only agenda they had was to start hysteria and blame the human population on it

It could be rather boring watching a massive ice sheet melt over the next decades. You might want to use satellite imagery and data collected over several decades to save all the standing around.
