That isn’t how the health system works though. The obese still get treatment, the smokers still get treatment, the drinkers still get treatment, the...well you get the picture. So what makes this any different?
Like said above, provide a vax that has gone through the appropriate testing procedures, and I will gladly get it. Not some rushed mish mash of hopes and unicorn farts administered with a waiver to sign before hand. Or as you said above...shut the f up.

And the odds are in my favour of survival. I will gladly take a 99% plus survival chance IF I EVEN GET COVID, as opposed to a vax that nobody knows what will happen to you down the line.Last edited by flea beetle; Apr 26, 2021, 13:42.

This calamity is not being caused by the handful of people attending an occasional church service or the few who don't wear a mask, but by the chronic inability of a socialized healthcare system to respond to changes in demand. At present, there is literally no way for this to happen, or at least to happen promptly, so the rest of the economy must be throttled to whatever decrepit pace the central planners can run the healthcare system at.
And, naturally, that means effective house arrest for the entire population. At this point, I'm wondering if my golf partner can legally pick me up in my yard for men's night now. Or should I wait for him on the road? Once we get to the course, however, it's perfectly legal for us to share a cart. Not saying we shouldn't be allowed to do that, just pointing out the absurdity of the rules.
The mind boggles at the incredible complexity and contradictions that occur when your only tool is the micromanagement of the entire population.
It's all about obedience. Just do what your overlords command. That's worked so well so many times in history.

Seriously more conspiracy theories! A commie behind every rock. The free market U.S. did not fair any better, so you can shove your comment about socialized medicine. The healthcare system could never be ramped up to account for every emergency , you would call it too expensive. What we do need is a better response to detect and contain viral outbreaks. I blame the WHO and the world community that runs it.

Pointing out the ineptitude of central planning is not a conspiracy theory. It's a well documented historical fact. It explains why the West shipped grain to the Soviet Union instead of the other way around.
"What we do need is a better response to detect and contain viral outbreaks. I blame the WHO and the world community that runs it." Don't you think the authorities have already thought of this? Why were they not able to achieve it? WHO? That's a central planning agency if there ever was one.
Because central planning as such refuses to use price signals, there is literally no sensible way left to balance supply and demand for medical care. Socialized medicine is headed for total collapse and no lockdown can prevent it.

In the news here today, the main speaker at the "hugs instead of masks" rally was a known Holocaust denier and Anti Semite. Nice. The cult from Steinbach really getting desperate.

Jazz, Wpg anti masker rally had guest speaker Chris Sky." Saccocciaz, from Toronto area followed up by Cult Pastor leader Tobias Tissen of the Church of God from Steinbach. Pastor Tobias would have had his flock of "Sheepies" from Steinbach accompanying him. The Pastor sure has one hell of a Ponzi Scheme set up.
Jazz, as for"neandrathals" from Wpg, your stretching it as usual.
Chris Sky." Saccoccia was in Sask the day before, Jazz, I'm sure you were at the rally leading the charge with Chris along with your "Like Button Buddies" from Sask.. Moe wasn't to pleased with Chris Sky showing up. Hard working Mr Saccocciaz (probably on CREB) has been busy travelling all over Western Canada, organizing and specking at Anti Masking rallies. Upstanding Canadian citizen.
Chris Sky." Saccoccia your type of guy Jazz, the same type you admire that leads the BLM, Railway Blockades, anti pipeline rallies, defunding the police etc etc.Last edited by foragefarmer; Apr 26, 2021, 16:45.

Both are common treatments already licensed in most, if not all, countries around the world.
Doctors may prescribe off-label use of drugs.
Why would government and medical advisors be so set against a common and effective treatment?
Why would they prefer to see people wait for an unproven, relatively ineffective "non-vax", thus becoming directly responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands whose lives may quite likely have been saved by administering these treatments?

To point out another absurdity in the new rules, having my daughter over for dinner on our deck is illegal, but if we met at an outdoor patio at a Winnipeg restaurant and dined in the same area as a whole bunch of strangers it would be completely legal.
The reason for this blatant contradiction is simple: the restaurant association made it crystal clear that without outdoor dining, most of them will be closed for good within the month. I don't blame them for lobbying the government and I don't want them bankrupted, but the argument that this measure was taken on the basis of science is a self-evident lie.
