-8 here this morning, mother natures weed control program still working. Wearing a parka to do chores is starting to wear a little thin.

We are up to -6 this morning from -10 yesterday .... zero frost , actually feels not bad today lol
Agree cowzilla, mother nature’s perfect pre burn , dry cold zaps most annual weeds.
Not a bad thing , less glyphosate , less hours on the sprayer and less evil fuel burned ... positive side, a Tripple win lol

When we first started using glyphosate if it was below plus 4 there was no sense in spraying...
Now it can go to minus 6 at night and the sprayers are going hard...
Was looking at foxtail barley the other day and the leaves were purple from the colder weather.

+ 10 this morn warmest for the year so far dreamed of scratching the ground last night looking for little blue seeds. Only adjusted the drill about ten times before dark settled for 3/4 inch some in moisture some not any deeper and they never seem to come up. How come when it comes up it is way more seeds than when you are digging for it???????? Pasture still looks pretty rough lots of time to fix fences before grass is high enough. Have not seen any goslings yet on the dugouts but fox pups over half grown.

Every hand is on deck. Shades of 1981 screenplay is only channel we are watching in our spare time. Canola going in 1 1/2 deep in lentil stubbles. Seed is not in moisture so praying and rain dancing continues. It’ll come - any day now. We are picking asparagus - perrennials, raspberries, strawberries are showing, fruit trees are blooming and I think I smell rain in the 30 km. east wind - maybe snow. We just stuck our heads out after yesterday’s hurricane at 30 degrees. Here’s hoping the turn around is right around the corner.ðŸ‘

done canola last night, just corn and soybean plots left
they can wait till after the 70 k winds today.
nervous like a lot here about next three mornings. A lot of canola has emerged the past few days in this area. seems like the good emergence will get roughed up and a lot in dry dirt now. will not be much inbetween . hopefully get a thunderstorm later today.
some NW of here have virtually all the crop up, a hard frost will not be good.
