Cases dropped last spring too when we didnt have any treatments. Thats the usual trend with respiratory diseases.

The tell tale sign will come in October if cases stay down.

Agree, if seasonal, less cases (if cycles are reduced) will be touted as THE VAX works. We are at 65% will be the news, push the hesitant! And those numbers can be "adjusted" for a narrative. Even deaths could be CORRECTLY labelled to reduce numbers, credit VAXES. But if cases/hospitalizations would even happen later, then what? Time will tell.

So the other 35% are tourists, it’s hard to imagine 370 tourist got there with Covid, being tested before getting there, must have been infected by locals in a country with high vaccination levels seems a bit odd, no?

Fair point... but remember this is a tiny island nation, in which most of the population is concentrated in a small area. A few infected tourists with the shiny new variants can run the number up pretty quick. Granted, 40% unvaccinated is still to many to keep things like this from happening. The article I read also inferred the vaccine used here was an astra Zeneca spinoff that wasn’t as affective as others, which is more concerning to me than this surge in cases. If third world countries are using infuror vaccines we are all in trouble
