Just got back from visiting my mom in LTC..she has both shots since Feb.
Today outside, only 4 masked people at a time could visit her.
She is so sad, depressed it's heart breaking..hard for her to identify MASKED people..

in MB/SK reporting roughly 1 infection per 1000 people with vaccinations. No one claimed it was 100% effective, no vaccine is but the point is with enough 95%+ effectiveness eventually it will win the battle. If the kids of the care home residents would of got them vaccinated you could of visited inside with no masks. I say open the doors and let the unvaccinated take their chances. It is cruel and mean to keep those in care homes isolated.

I didn’t realize that the vaccination threshold needed to start eradicating the virus was both your parents, not 70% of the general public

Throughout this pandemic we heard the younger and working age population needs to stay home and follow restrictions to keep numbers in control and ensure the safety of our most vulnerable and those in nursing homes

Now that it’s all people under 40 getting infected and the shoe is on the other foot your parents and everyone else who used to be the vulnerable ones to the virus shouldn’t have to return the favor? What makes them so special?

Again, your parents are not special. They don’t get special privileges before anyone else does especially while we still have hundreds of young people getting infected daily.

You have to give time for the vaccine campaign to finish and it’s effects to show for everyone. I’m not sure why you have such a hard time understanding this.
