When I look at the picture of Woodland's son holding the net wrap, I can't help but think of how we're letting him down arguing about Covid, Trump, climate, etc. These are "bottomless pit" arguments. Throw everything at these subjects and nothing makes a clink in the bottom.

That boy's heritAGe is agriculture and his future may be too. What will it look like though? If we want to argue freedom, arguing the freedom to farm is a REAL issue.

We're bombarded by alt left politicians trying to reimagine our industry, animal activists planning what's nothing more than terrorism against us. Anti GMO and anti glyphosate psychos trying to force their agendas on our industry. As for social license, they can shove that up their ass and see if that's sustainable.

It's too dry to seed anymore acres right now. All I can do is pick stones and rant. Crop emergence has that droughty, patchy look like we saw in the '80s.

There is a crazy mice infestation happening down there right now.

Watch the video embedded in this story of the mice crawling over that grain pile:

                    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-05-11/farmers-step-up-battle-as-mice-plague-worsens/100130198

Finished fieldwork today, will hose down, and start putting equipment away tomorrow. Supposed to rain Monday night and Tuesday.
