It started long before the 70s.
Canada has a history of letting conquered peoples win more than they lost.
The culture you defend will not prevail.

We have created our own version of Europe. The cultural mosaic model we so lauded in the 70s was always going to be our end. I said so then. I tire from being right.
The foil to my theory might be central planner's ability to create dependence.
The crux will be convincing the payers.
I am loathe to add to your weariness, but you're right. Again.

JWAB - correctimondo / Westerners can’t find the loopholes in the constitution and use them to our advantage. Distinct society, no problem!

I think its great that the only province that didnt sign the constitution be instrumental in its demise.

If they can unilaterally make changes to their status then we should be able to make changes to equalization and bilingualism.

Canada likely wont be a country in your kids lifetimes. No country can stand this divided.

The constitutional lawyers and politicians will sort this out.

Albertans often talk as if they can change equalization, which is in the constitution, on their own.

Kenney wants a provincial referendum on a federal program which all provinces pay for? How does that work?

It's ironic that those who want to arbitrarily separate from Canada are the same ones who are complaining about Quebec and want to override the constitution through treason.

Bilingualism is a problem? Only for the bigots and french haters! It's a big advantage to speak more than one language in this world.

Are you still mad about the metric system too? Yeah, its really bad to have 2 sets of wrenches! LOL

Yes it is, if that language is Mandarin, otherwise French is useless.

Canada should keep going on their path to wokeness and rights for every special group they can. Carve it all up. We all know where that ends. Never was a real country anyway. Just a stitched together Frankenstein monster.

Yes two sets of wrenches are an extra expense and a pain to have to carry around.

It doesn’t just end with a set of wrenches... think for a moment about the extra costs associated with the metric system... it isn’t a small amount on a farm, cost to the nation is huge...

Can’t anyone think critically any more?

If we have to have Bilingualism my vote is for Spanish, I’ll make far more use of this language than I would of French.

I think the Spanish word for chuck is, nettles, and about as popular at a nudist colony.
