Of 331 COVID hospital admissions from May 1-16:

- 82% no vaccine
- 8% had a shot but were infected before they got it or did not have it for 2 weeks and thus did not have some immunity
- 10% had one shot

Kind of sucks when facts disprove your arguement hey.

Right on the money Partners. Cases don’t mean shit. How many are dying? That’s the only number that shud matter but those numbers aren’t scary enuf so they gotta put the emphasis on all the cases. Total scare job. People just can’t seem to get it thru their head that people die and u can’t save everyone from everything. If u had 5-600 people dying a week in Manitoba then I would be concerned but cases! It’s cases. It don’t mean anything just that u got the flu. For some it’s a sniffle or allergy type symptoms and the very very few end up going to the hospital. Every case is different but u never hardly ever hear the whole story when someone dies. Just the age .

There are currently 129 ICU beds occupied in Manitoba over half are Covid. The ICU beds are maxed out and the province had to air lifted five Covid patients to Northern Ontario Hospitals.

So Junkie if there are any heart attacks, emergency surgeries, serious car accidents, that may require and ICU bed, where do they put them?

The health care system is stretched to max, that is the concern.

No scare tactics being used by the province of Manitoba just the facts.

Every budget from all politicians there is increases in health care.
Population in every province is growing.
Health care is way behind.

My dad had a brain bleed 2 yrs before covid.
He was in the hall way for 3 days before he got proper care.
This covid thing has put all other health issues on the not that important list.
Which suck ass.

Ya fix the healthcare system idiot. If u gotta send people out because we only have 129 beds maybe that’s the problem. Instead of the freeloaders using the system all the time maybe they shud put a user fee to eliminate the constant overload from people that don’t need a bandaid put on. Then they would have money for times like this but like most governments it’s not their money so wasting is no problem to them til something like this happens.

Yes, because socialized medical systems have no sensible way to handle that. Increased demand just means stretched budgets. Without a price system, there's no way to know how to garner resources to handle the bulge.

For comparison purposes, the allegedly sinful for-profit (well, more for-profit than ours) medical system in a place like Alabama has 3.9 ICU beds per 10,000 people. Manitoba had 81 total ICU beds at the beginning of the pandemic, for 1.27 million people. Rate works out to 0.63 ICU beds per 10,000.

Covid is a clear signal that Medicare is in terminal decline. Provincial health care budgets will never, and I repeat never, recover from this blow.
