This year starting out much the same .
Interesting it coincides with near zero sun spots in the same time period .
Sun spot activity picking up now so hopefully back to mid September frosts and not late August

Zero rain is zero rain in 88 and this year, the difference was 88 was the hottest may ever . And 88 likely had more reserve moisture.
I remember scratching and finding the moisture right there April 21 on summerfallow, one month to the day later may 21, my shoes sunk into 3-4 inches of ash , the field had not been touched .I went to the lake for a day the long weekend in may that year , the water was warm enough to swim.
While I will not argue the science of climate change, useing any weather examples from Saskatchewan to prove anything is pointless.
Climate is a long long term thing.

It has been snowing since about 5 am. Just hope it knows when to stop.
As far as David Phillips saying this is the driest May! Holy crap this May was way wetter and way colder than 2002,1988,and 1961. Other than 3 warm days so far May has been very cold

Does he have access to all of Environment Canada's weather data for the last 100 years at multiple locations in all 10 provinces?

Get him to start crunching numbers and show us his results!
The data is on the internet...
An example of data crunching....The attached chart shows the daily highs averaged for each month since 1885 for North Battleford area. Basic math is all that is required to visualize with charts what has been observed and recorded over the decades.
The trend is highlighted by the black flat line at about the 8 degree level.
It also pays to read and study historical records. Read some pioneer stories. It is amazing what terrible weather events they survived with very few resources. We think we have it bad and things can only get worse. We haven't lived long enough, that's the problem.
Discounting a 90 year old's recollections of past weather events only reveals the smug, know it all attitude that pervades academia and with few notable refreshing exceptions, always has

That’s quite a chart, no coordinates properly labelled. Who wants averages and manipulated data? The trend? Where do you find such garbage? There are a few on this site who really dig for the “facts”. 🥴

Right at the farm we had 3/10 but closer to the river 7/10. Really patchy but got enough rain on sprayed out grass to hazard canola today. 🤞

"The trend is highlighted by the black flat line at about the 8 degree level." Huh ? The chart is almost unreadable and has no context. Where is the link and reference for your chart?

Where is the data from all the other stations in Sask and 9 other provinces and the hundreds of stations all across Canada? One station in Saskatchewan does not tell the whole story of Canada's climate does it? Let alone the world?

In the NOAA pictures do you think the warming stopped at the 49th? North Dakota and Montana clearly have warmed according to NOAA.

I have been wondering the same thing as the robot.
Where is the data from Environment Canada?
Melfort/ Nipawin has no historical data availlable on the EC site.
We don't seem to need data to predict future weather.
It's all done with computer models. We don't need any data as it's been all figured out by EC scientists.
It doesn't work here. They most have us in the wrong zone cause we get very little of what they predict.

My 90 plus year old has seen and remembers more stuff than you. And funny thing he takes stuff in and looks at the information.

He would never cut and paste but understand your being fed a big hoax.

Take a look at the Climate atlas of Canada for North Battelford.

                          https://climateatlas.ca/data/grid/761/chu_2030_45/line https://climateatlas.ca/data/grid/761/chu_2030_45/line

You can see historical data and all the hot weather, cold weather, temperature, precipitation, and agricultural climate factors to consider. 38 factors to consider in total. 38!! That's a lot of number crunching to do from memory!

Now try and tell us the climate in North Battleford has not changed in over 100 years! You are wrong!

Why stop at 100 years? So Medieval warm is omitted? All the numbers are using such varied measuring from years ago, that it's all GARBAGE! Any temp changes are WITHIN the MARGIN of ERROR!

SF No one likes me? LOL

Maybe you should consider more than primary school yard insults and actually provide some evidence that I am wrong. Or you could just take your ball and go home SF because you don't have anything to add to the discussion.

And calling it a "hoax" doesn't qualify.

You are really angry about cut and paste? More likely allergic to information and facts! LOL

                                Thats another model.
Press the high carbon button at the top and you see totaly different "data".
