#1) Most skeptics point to ultra low death rates from Covid, similar to flu, and meaningless in the broader view. Ergo, Covid deaths are meaningless.

#2) Most old order Mennonites fall in the view of not having decision over life or death and that preventing it is against the will of God. One of many cases I think back on is my neighbor that lost his oldest son 20 years ago to a drowning accident while canoeing in BC. He will tell you that it was Daniel's time. Had Daniel been wearing a life jacket, he may have lived. But neighbor will say no, he would still have died because it was God's will for him to come home at that time and that he rejoices in the love that Jesus had for Daniel to call him back at such a young age.
