Oh tool is more concerned about Canada Day being cancelled or the celebrations being scaled down to honour the hundreds of first nations kids who died in residential schools and lay in unmarked graves unannounced and unknown to their families.
This will backfire on Oh Tool and will only appeal to the hard core base who often don't give a shit about first nations and the legacy of residential schools and won't play well with the majority of Canadians who have a heart. The list of missing kids in unmarked graves is going to be very long and large. But Oh Tool is more concerned about a holiday?
Where is Oh Tool's concern about the lost first nations kids who died often because of neglect and abuse away from their families?
He had a message for those who continually "tear down Canada" and that should include the mostly well off western separatists that complain and whine about how bad Canada is all the time. If you want to know how bad Canada is, walk in the shoes of a first nations person living in third world conditions. Then you have something to complain about.Last edited by chuckChuck; Jun 24, 2021, 07:38.

He also said Canada is not a perfect country, but no country is.
Looks to me like O’Toole would be a nice change from our present Ethically challenged Prime Minister!

Context. You aren't concerned about cancelling Canada Day? (Chuck)
Best way to get upset before I even start my day is to read some of the crap posted here. Trying to break the habit.Last edited by blackpowder; Jun 24, 2021, 08:05.

I totally agree with chuck. Canada day should be cancelled. Its just a fake country masquerading as a dictator ship anyway.
I feel zero allegiance with 75% of the population especially those would would willingly vote in Trudeau and his hateful policies.
Cancel canada day and bring on the election and lets end this botched experiment.

Trudeau and some of the liberals are assholes when it come to their record in courts fighting against compensation for residential school survivors.
OTTAWA — The Liberal government’s continued signals that it won’t drop its legal battles against residential school survivors and First Nations children show that the politicians tasked with handling reconciliation in this country aren’t taking it seriously, says one of Canada’s most prominent advocates for the welfare of Indigenous children.
“I can’t make sense of it,†said Cindy Blackstock, executive director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society.
“I’m so disappointed that this is continuing to happen in 2021, in the wake of the revelation of the 215 children who were found on (the grounds of the) Kamloops residential school and the rest of the children who are yet to be found.â€
Blackstock’s comments come as members of Parliament voted on Monday to pass a non-binding NDP motion calling for Ottawa to drop its “belligerent and litigious†legal battles against groups affected by Canada’s residential school and child welfare systems.
The motion also asked the federal government to further investigate the deaths and disappearances of children at the schools.
While no one voted against the motion, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau didn’t participate in the vote — and members of his cabinet abstained from voting. Some members of the Liberal caucus, and all opposition MPs, supported the motion. "

These folks all sign from the same hymnal.
Trudeau responds by invoking climate change to excuse any unethical immoral or illegal behaviour.
Chuck invokes racism if you dare question anything, even completely unrelated.

Relatively speaking Canada is a great country, but lets not hide the fact and deny that we have mistreated first nations people. And that for many first nations, the country is still not so great.

And I can't claim credit for receiving the 1/2" of rain last night, or say that it fell on my land, since Chuck will claim that I stole it from the indigenous people, therefore it isn't my land, or my rain, therefore I am a racist. And the rain dance was cultural appropriation.
And somewhere in there I'm sure I will be held responsible for US police murdering black people while they innocently commit crimes.
It would be funny if it wasn't true.
