Won’t help unless it can start flowering again after heat. And that would be a new one

That will not happen. The woke crowd will demand free food instead of investment. And the govts will probably indulge them.

We have had dry springs as well with intermittent showers before, but I dont think we ever had the wild swings in conditions like this yr. Probably the driest seeding conditions in 15 yrs here.

And then a month between moisture events with freezes in between and then some real scorchers thrown in for good measure. This crop is seeing its fair share of stress.

Durum pushing real hard on $10. ND crop must be toast as well as lots in SW sask.

Half done the hay, yields approx 1.5T/Ac which is half normal.
I ordered more grain bins back in March, thinking about cancelling them. Price was good before the markups so not sure. Will prices ever come back down to what they were.

Hopefully canola goes up to $37 a bushel to make up for the 10 bushel crop that is going to be harvested....it is fricken ugly.

How are people deciding whether or not to spray fungicides this year. I know the crap ones get a big X but the average looking crops do they get it? Cnl at $18.. barley at $6.. wht at $9, it’s hard to park the sprayer.

Personally I think I’ll spray the peas, barley and maybe enough Cnl to max out my one chem rebate program 🤦.
