I wouldn't get my hopes up on that referendum.

The other options have to be just that bad for them to vote conservative.
A smart Conservative party that puts the right figurehead in front of the public had a chance.
Thats over now and you can see it tilting back to day to day bread and butter issues. Trudeau has spent $500B and still cant get a majority locked up.
Lets see Otool on the campaign and equal coverage in some debates before we write him off.

Prediction;
late August/Sept call for mid oct election date, coincide with AB referendum, Libs and MSM start to demonize AB (and West) for challenging equalization not being good Canadians, causing climate change and spreading covid.
Delta lockdown part way through, campaigning and debates cancelled, Trudeau falls back to the cottage, campaigns from there via media and cash handouts mostly into TOM corridor, + mail in ballots, covid scaremongering = seals/steals majority.

Trudeau to call federal election for Sept. 20, kicking off this Sunday: Reuters sources
OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to launch a federal election campaign this Sunday, with the vote scheduled for Sept. 20, according to Reuters sources.
After months of speculation over the prospect of a pandemic election, Reuters is reporting that Trudeau is planning to visit Rideau Hall this weekend and ask Gov. Gen. Mary Simon to dissolve the 43rd Parliament and draw up the 338 writs, triggering a fall vote. CTV News has not yet independently verified this report.
If the campaign kicks off this Sunday, the 2021 federal election will be 36 days in length, the shortest possible permitted under elections law. Triggering the election means that Canadians will be in for five weeks of campaigning, seeing the federal party leaders crisscrossing the country and pitching themselves, their candidates, and their platforms, under ongoing COVID-19 public health restrictions.

Hopefully in the next 36 days something comes out that is unforgivable.
But seems to be the absolute teflon man.
Elections can be good entertaiment if you don't have high expectations.

[QUOTE=fjlip;505132]I wish GG was SMART enough to tell that MORON SOB to go ...
Sadly the average Canadian under 45 has swallowed the Liberal /Democrat/ Davos brew and: free money, Climate Change, Covid pandemic vaccines, food security, the new Green Deal, have caught their imaginations no matter how self serving and unsustainable these monetary policies are.
Our UN/Davos future is: zero interest rates, screen time, Social Media, Amazon, Starlink, Electric everything... and colonies on the Moon and Mars! Big tech can solve all problems... Carbonless everything is key to the new 'Green' deal... which can't be green if it has no Carbon!!!
As the commentary on the WSJ said....:
"What’s more, the report says climatic destruction is going to get worse no matter what we do. I do sometimes wonder what it would be like to be alive when the world ends.
The U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change even includes an interactive atlas depicting that global warming’s ruin will be everywhere, meaning there’s nowhere to hide. Now what?
My short answer: Don’t put the Democrats in charge of Noah’s Ark. It will sink.
If only for the sake of discussion, let’s stipulate the U.N.’s climate report may be right that warming is a problem. One still may pose a practical political question: Instead of mitigating the world’s climate challenge, what evidence exists that these progressive advocates—Democratic politicians or affiliated scientists—would do anything other than make it worse if we put them in charge of the solutions?
The currently observable reality is that progressives, who have now captured the Democratic Party at all levels of government, don’t seem able to run anything anymore—not cities, not Covid, not a national border. Why would letting them run climate policy be different"
Does anyone actually believe Canadians are any more likely to correct our future leadership than Americans??? Is it even possible to stop the UN/Davos seductive: reset, climate change, insanity????
And just in case you missed this WSJ Article...
Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Budget Framework Exposes Party Tensions

Democrats’ Jobs and Infrastructure Plan: What’s Popular, What’s Controversial
...
Mr. Manchin...“I have serious concerns about the grave consequences facing West Virginians and every American family if Congress decides to spend another $3.5 trillion,†Mr. Manchin said Wednesday. “Given the current state of the economic recovery, it is simply irresponsible to continue spending at levels more suited to respond to a Great Depression or Great Recession—not an economy that is on the verge of overheating.â€
Mr. Manchin voted to approve the budget framework, but said he hoped Democrats would “seriously consider this reality,â€
Are Liberals any different in Canada, and Canadians any less 'Sheep' asleep than Americans?
I think not!

More of the same, combined with the coming energy boom will really fuel the fire. Better to have a common enemy in Ottawa during these times.
