    The wife’s uncle ran 2 9600s. He lived in Arizona and did custom work. Had over 10000 hrs on each machine. Did all his own repairs and charged less than outfits with new stuff.. Made a good living till he got cancer..Died two years ago at 75.

      Back when I worked at a Combine /tractor wrecker, it seemed that the average hours on a combine arriving for salvage was in the 2000+ range, I don't remember anything over 3000 at that time( Mostly 7/800 series MF, 77**/88** JD 14** IH etc.

      Just imagine, if the other notable reputation of JD combines is true, how much grain would have gone out the back in 10,000 hours. Probably enough to have paid for 3 combines that only lasted 1/3 as long...
