    was talkin

Local welder- shop guy has a job at auction barn and was given a month to do job. Now given currant drought problem he was told more likely only 2 weeks. Phones ringing of the wall guys booking for ways to move cattle off burnt pastures and almost empty dugouts. Lots of pressure put on greenfeed and corn to pull everyone through this in this area for sure.

Livestock producers in this area are very concerned as well . Feed will be short , most everywhere that’s guaranteed now. Hay is very poor , barley most everywhere will be less than 1/2 of normal and feed stocks are extremely low . Very little barley will be cut for feed as grain contract will need to be filled

Let alone water like you say .
The battle is on between recreational cabin owners and the cattlemen on the Jackfish watershed
Big mouth surf boat guys are already crying they can’t get their $200,000 boats out .... sorry boo hoo, there is cattle that need to survive .
Should be a no brainer but the cabin owners carry a lot of power . August will be a shit show

Not yet , still ok for most boats . By the end of august it could be very low .
Gates have been closed at south end for quite a while but evaporation is the killer now .

Sad part is completely ignorant cabin owners will blame the farmers instead of looking at the zero rain , high evaporation and very low run off this spring .
Will be the same ones who cried that the levels were too high last year and the ice damaged decks and cabins that were built way to close to the water
      It never ends
