Less than 1/2 the population are fully vaccinated in SK. And a significant number of people have had no vaccine. As of July 3rd Saskatchewan has only 61% of the total population that has received at least one dose. Those under 12 are not eligible. Saskatchewan has the lowest total rate of vaccination amongst all provinces.

So considering that the variants are much more agressive and infectious, it is likely that we will have a resurgence of covid as the summer progreses and larger indoor events and schools return in the fall.

I hope this doesn't happen but there is a rush to reopen everything in Alberta and Saskatchewan quickly and it may send us back to more restrictions.

A cautious reopening under the circumstances would make more sense. Other provinces are going slower. The next weeks and months till Christmas will tell the story of what will happen.

Outdoor events are safer but not completely free of covid risk.

Covid rates are already rising again in many US states.

I am not too worried since I have had both vaccines.

But for those who have chosen not to vaccinate and will party on like there is no risk of infection, are in the running for a darwin award.

Trudeau doesn't set provincial health policy or covid restrictions.

Fully vaccinated people are at low risk when they gather.

Expect restrictions for those who aren't fully vaccinated.

For those who choose not to vaccinate and are healthy enough to get a vaccine I will have little sympathy for them if they get sick from covid.

Doctors across the US and Canada reported that they had some patients who while near death from covid still believed covid wasn't real.

Compared to the vaccinted ,
The vax deaths 19x1.42 = 22.8
You are more than 4.56 times more likely to die
From the covid variant if you are not vaccinated.
