The first wheat is by the south side of the tree line, only the heads are left green and are just into the early dough stage… but stems are green to the ground so maybe they might still fill without rain if not too hot.

New Secan variety CWRS Ellerslie wheat seeded May 5 17th street and Ellerslie road Edmonton

I saved the pictures sideways but still wrong orientation.

    Cheers

Copper levels in those wheat fields??

Assuming your Killam fields not much different looking from the road?

geezus Tom, you have land against Edmonton city limits? WTH are you farming for unless you enjoy torture.

Some oil tanks would look great in that canola.

Our family has been farming many of these fields since the mid 1960’s… rented or Crop Share land.

Our family farm homestead at SHERWOOD Park started in 1881.

There can be no more honourable work and heritage than growing food for a hungry world… and bringing our next generations into blessings by becoming a part of this heritage and sacred faith to honour our Great King and Creator Jesus.
                Cheers
                We pray for rain!!!

We pray for a plentiful harvest and many blessings!

                God Bless Canada.

East Edmonton 1028 Nexera seeded May 4 on July 10.

Our Killam fields had 1.3” of rain on on long weekend to July 5 where SHERWOOD Park missed this rain, therefore much more bottom vegetation burned off at East Edmonton area of our farm.
Sulphur not generally a problem but we float on usually 125lb/ac 21-0-0-24 fines on Canola June 15 in season in production years.
Wow is it smoky today… should be sulphur from this!

                  Cheers

Wiseguy we don’t grow Canola seed… so are blessed to pay the approx $75/Ac for Certified Seed as required in seed production to grow pedigreed Seed!

We hope everyone has a safe early harvest that needs no natural gas nor propane!

                        Not sure what you mean?

We pay for Certified planting seed, (to plant on our farm) buying the new varieties to seed each year for commercial canola production to go to Bunge Cargill etc. We don’t get seed prices for our commercial production, we market like you for the same prices as you get.
Perhaps I am paying more because I try to buy seed treatment like Lubriderm and Jump Start phosphate innoculant and hybrids.
                        Cheers

I am not sure how our farm pays less for seed than you Do?

We pay more for planting pedigree seed stock that is higher generation pedigree than Certified (which costs us more not less) and pay plant Breeders the same royalties and levies for planting seed we need for planting the same as everyone else pays.
