That’s been in the ground since mid April but froze up teen times before and after it came up.

Went down hyway 55 past Smeaton south to Prince Albert.
No 100 bushel wheat or 70 bushel Canola.
But if things don't continue totaly bad they will have one of their better crops in the last 20 yrs. That has been a tough area to farm due to excess water and poor drainage.
Some barley going down in the green spots and lots of oats it about silage stage. They whould yeild good tonnage.
Relatively speaking small acerage and as always loots of shit crops too.
Around Meath Park is Black soil but poor drainage in areas.
Monette is running rents up there. Expect he will be looking for more there if this crop comes off.
If he can keep the investor ball rolling if the gossip has any base.

            Did a NE Albums scouting trip;

Hay 13-36 Killam, just north of Viking last nights rain ran out, Lavoy to Two Hills many 50% crops, poor soil did not let wheat head, peas many less than a foot,

Then west on 29 Wilington, good soil normal to 80% in places, Andrew 60% to Lamont 50-60%… right into Fort Saskatchewan east half a crop on most fields. No rain evident until south of Edmonton…Kingman Round Hill looks like they got a reasonable squirt… Good shower back on 26/13 to Killam.

Our May 4 East Edm Canola is done blooming.

The Ellerslie Hard Red Wheat East Edm is starting to fill well on main heads kernel change starting.

The 1030rr Nexera on 36 just north of Killam is very happy over 3 weeks blooming now.

About 50% of the crops are past rain helping in many instances, later crops would benefit from a good rain: very early harvest for many 3-4 weeks early on May first week seeding.
The Moon is Red from smoke... and the showers look busted for tonight!

            Cheers!

Thursday afternoon. The storm that took out from Stettler to Alliance. Another one took out a path down 27 east and west of Trochu. Same night one went through Ponoka-Wainwright corridor as well.

Saturday another round came through. Seen some major wind damage from that one.

Sorry to hear... hope some silage can be made to feed the cattle!

                    Cheers
