My wife and I already have a plan that if covid got out out control (the reaction, not the virus) we would buy a nice little spread along the free rockies in AB and call our travel days done.

France has required a Covid pass showing full vaccination for entry into bars and restaurants and for public transportation including buses, planes, and trains for months. Israel has had the Green Pass since vaccinations became available and after easing use of it this spring, just reinstated it July 29th to prove vaccination status to enter all large venues. The UK has the NHS Covid Pass and Johnson says by end of September it will be required for entry into any venue that has large crowds or high risk such as night clubs. California requires all state employees to be vaccinated or take a weekly test. All 27 EU member states are creating a pass to allow border crossing between member states. Australia has already created a digital certificate, but has not yet made it a condition for entry anywhere. Even the US is planning to introduce a requirement that all travellers to the US must show proof of vaccination before entry and expect to introduce this requirement by the end of September. Many countries that have opened the borders to travel require either proof of full vaccinations, recent testing (or both) or mandatory quarantine for entry - including Canada.

You know it isn't t
just taking a half hour off for one vaccine and you're fully vaccinated. Maybe know you have to wait a couple weeks for SOME limited protection to develop. Then remembeer to get the second shot for the Canadian regimen. Then at least 2 plus more weeks before it reinforces and adds additional Covid protection. Apply for the "passport" as required

Of course you don't remember hearing that perhaps 8 weeks between jabs turned out more effective than a shorter interval.

The point being... you were deliberately slow off the mark and you're a full month;plus; behind the majority...but still a lifetime ahead of the dough heads who will get their antibodies against Covid in some past or future game of perpetual russian roulette.

I have never claimed to be antivaxx of any type, even mrna. I am pro information before I jump to govt dictates.

Waiting 2 months after my age call has shown which of the vaccine choices was better. My friend is double dosed with AZ and has been on pins and needles for months.

And when I got my dose of pfizer, the nurse clearly stated to get the 2nd shot in 4 months. That was the original plan of vaccination back in the winter and it got revised again with lots of other things and just a rush to get everyone vaccinated. 2nd shots in other vaccines are often 6 months or more apart and there is something emerging from the data that shots spaced too close together are less effective (i,e UK vs Israel).

I have learned through a life time of farming not to panic and rush because thats when mistakes are made.

One frightening aspect of the current panic is how the masses will welcome vackseen passports with NO REGARD as to what it means in the near future; what the next move is.
