    Get out of town
    Take a drive FFS
This is indeed a water bottle
Tied it off so I wouldn’t lose it
    Had 7 “ last year
    6” so far this year
You see constant heat doesn’t work for growing crops
You people making these stupid predictions should be tied to a stake in the middle of town so you can tell people where in **** you were coming from ? Click image for larger version

      Here ya go sheep
Hey thanks. My phone is full of issues.

So the pics are of my barley at home. That is a government issued 100 cm snow ruler from when we had an environment Canada weather station on this farm. I’m actually scared of lodging on this field, it’s on the verge.

The wheat is on the home quarter. There are areas where it is struggling to fill, but overall it’s nice.

I’ll try and get some canola pics later. The variability from mile to mile, and even less is amazing. I also have that poor barley that I am sick about o er in the dry zone. It looks ok, better than I earlier thought when I posted the tale of two barleys, much greener, but it’s later, I just can’t see it filling very good.

Point of the pics is to back up my claims of eden. Not to boast. Not at all. But it shows the historical reality that for whatever reason, this farm has never known dry in the same way as most places.

Not to mention rampant flea Beatles attacks , several flea Beatle infestations
Seriously are you “experts” that far out of touch?
          Or simply don’t give a shit ?
Or worse trying to manipulate the market ?
          I don’t get it ?

And what's so strange is I have an ad on Kijiji and Indeed looking for a farmhand and even with over 11% unemployment in Edmonton no one with any relevant experience is replying, and get this those that do apply want to make a wage that is better than EI or CERB or they don't want the job, and they flat out tell me this. What's happened to this country?

The crop has kind of hit a wall and is shutting down. Just no more moisture can be pull out of the clay. Cracks in the fields are huge.
Sprinklers going non stop on the lawn around the house and it’s crazy the amount of birds that show up to cool off and play in the mist.
Almost hate leaving this little green spot of life to go look at the desperate crop.

I did get the Timothy swathed 14 days ahead of last year. Was crunchy dry all summer but did manage to push a head out.

Can you blame them for that? If they were working a job that paid more you wouldn’t expect them to take a pay cut.

Government needs to start managing their relief programs a bit better to encourage people back into the workforce but people staying at home and making more money than driving to work aren’t being dumb. I wish I could just sit at home and make money without driving.

CRB most likely ends in September anyway so it’s not like they’ve got much longer to milk that.

Cut off the free money , there is no need for it .
No free money and they would gladly take the Job
That’s the problem, it plagued certain groups in this country for decades .

That’s broad saying cut it off. Some do need it. Some utilize the programs available honestly, some don’t. I even know many farmers who’ve used EI. CRB had its place, now it’s running out.

For years ag in AB has struggled to find workers because the patch pays more. Now benefits do. It’s not a new situation. Honestly, I’ve never met a pickier group of employers than farmers which seems weird in conjunction with the fact that I’ve never met more drunken, unlicensed, skeptical people than some employed by said farmers.

To easily gain access to ag employment word of mouth is almost entirely needed. Someone needs to recommend you to a friend of a friend.
