The backlog already must be massive.
So how did that work on individuals and businesses that were convicted already?

Whether or not the fines are enforced, large fines send the signal that you should stay home and prevent the spread of covid.

Unfortunately some people need those kinds of signals to make the right choice.

From from what little I know about it, any fines have been contested and no one is paying them. Crowdsourcing is funding the legal costs.

The UK has a "ping" system whereby people who have been in contact with someone with Covid get a message on their phone telling them to stay home.

It's already caused so much chaos that many people are simply deleting the app.

It's a widespread perception that Covid can be beaten by micromanaging everyone's lives. The basic reason why rules like this are not being enforced is that the resources to do so are very limited. The more time police spend checking up on Covid quarantine cases gives them that much less time to do normal police work.

Hiring a bunch of deputized "Covid cops" solves nothing. Who would want a job that requires you to come into frequent contact with Covid cases?

If the vaccines are doing what they are supposed to do, the presence of unvaccinated people in your neighborhood should not be a problem, right?

          Good post AE.
Can anyone imagine living in Australia at the moment, I can’t believe how western populations have become so submissive.

But that wouldnt fit your narrative now would it? easier to rag on some churches or something.

According to the AHA document, just 1 in 7 people are fully vaccinated in Black Lake, a community of more than 1,600

I saw data that at 28days after the first mRNA jab, over 90% effective against Covid.... then they stopped the study as there was no point with 0 hospitalizations... and no financial benefit to the vaccine producers.

"President Joe Biden said on Tuesday he may require all federal employees to get vaccinated, although no announcement has been made. read more

With infections rising due to the highly contagious Delta variant, officials have been looking for ways to combat vaccine hesitancy. (Graphic on U.S. cases)

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said anyone getting their first vaccine shot will get $100 at city-run sites starting on Friday."

"WASHINGTON, July 29 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden is calling for state, local and U.S. territorial governments to provide $100 payments for every newly vaccinated American to boost COVID-19 inoculation rates, the U.S. Treasury Department said on Thursday.

The Treasury said in a statement that such incentives are an allowable use of funds from the $350 billion in aid granted to state, local, territorial and tribal governments under the American Rescue Plan Act. The department added that it would provide technical assistance in using these funds to support increased vaccinations.

The Treasury also said it was expanding a tax credit that employers could claim for wages paid to employees to give them paid time off to get vaccinated or to assist family members and certain other individuals with COVID-19 vaccinations.

"Today, the President is calling on state, territorial, and local governments to provide $100 payments for every newly vaccinated American, as an extra incentive to boost vaccination rates, protect communities, and save lives," Treasury said in a statement."

Clearly the first vaccine jab is most important. The booster is what gives most people the biggest negative reactions that has been expressed to me... the provinces were saying 12-18 weeks until the booster in the spring of 2021.

                      Cheers
