I don’t care whether people get the vaccine or not but it’s definitely wrong for the government to pay people or have a lottery for getting your shot. Wish the government would just state all the facts and let people make their own personal choices, end of story.

A large majority of people have gotten the vaccinations in Canada.
There are a small number of holdouts. There are a larger number of unvaccinated people who would get the vaccine with a little convincing and easier access.
I am not sure why common sense preventative health measures like vaccines and masks have become a political issue for a small minority of citizens.
Nobody thinks twice about getting a tetanus booster shot after a dirty cut requiring stitches or getting the rabies vaccines if you come into close contact with a rabid animal.
When a heart attack, stroke or cancer strikes, almost nobody sits back and says I am not getting treatment for political reasons or because its unproven.
But if it's a new virus that spreads easily and requires a world wide pandemic strategy to reduce the spread. And the virus can infect thousands and millions of people and overwhelm the healthcare systems and can cause long term health problems or death on a significant scale. And without a prevention strategy the virus can shut down many businesses and communities on its own because people are sick or don't want to get sick. Then some will dismiss preventative heath care?
How can a small number of people view the virus from a political perspective and be actively opposed to helping prevent the spread of disease and worse, some are actively spreading all types of misinformation and conspiracy theories? How and why does this happen?
We have all sacrificed something in the last 16 months.
For those who have been fully vaccinated and have supported efforts to reduce the spread and impact of covid to sit back and allow unvaccinated people and reckless leaders likely drag us back into a 4th wave this fall and winter, with the good chance we will see more lockdowns and restrictions, seems unbelievable at this point.
But that is what is about to happen.
We all want this to be over. The best way to make this over is to get vaccinated.
If you want to avoid preventative medicine or treatment for your particular non transmissible disease go right ahead.
But when it comes to highly infectious and transmissible diseases like the covid delta variant, what you do has impacts on other people.
If you think you are above treating covid prevention as community effort, maybe you shouldn't be enjoying all the benefits of the community and stay at home on your own until it's over. that way you can have your freedom and so can the rest of us.

I can’t see work just letting a positive case come in, they wouldn’t want to risk another outbreak. So even if the province doesn’t require isolating, businesses may still implement stay at home policies if someone tests positive. Of course not going to work is different than having to isolate.

The Massachusetts outbreak just shows why the USA is going back to wearing masks inside. The World is right back to where is started at the beginning of this mess. Sadly this China virus will keep mutating till it becomes a real bad super spreading killing virus. Justin pretty hair will be herding us to the polls before the shit hits the fan in hopes he can look like he saved the Canada, but in reality he just put a real expensive bandaid on this festering wound.

And your post wishing us to get the supposed “delta variant†so that we can die and the world can get smarter, is over the top. Too far. Remove it or leave already.

So we are just going to have to live with him/her wanting us dead.

No vaccine will ever keep up with this now. That is clear. Unless big pharma can push out a new booster monthly - good luck lining people up for that.
They should have devoted some money to antiviral technologies. Too late.
It take several yrs for a flu to create variants of itself. Covid mutates monthly. Dont tell me this virus is naturally occurring. Gain of function experiments let loose accidently or worse weaponized and unleashed.Last edited by jazz; Aug 1, 2021, 08:55.
