There were a few thin swaths of barley in the neighborhood.
They will be solid rows of green soon.
Might be able to rake and bale?
      Stocks not going higher....

Believe in China corn stocks less than you would stats can or the usda. China is buying less because there is less to buy. China would be buying more if they could.

Here is pricing details on train loads of corn into southern AB. $9.22 per bushel.
Still not cheap. Purchaser I talked to a month or more ago said it would work out to $8.15 equivalent barley price, delivered into southern AB. Give or take the price movement in corn.
How does that compare to $9.22 for a 54 lb bushel of corn, when feed value is considered?
Also noteworthy is that Agfinity have no offers for barley right now. Could be because the bids dropped about 70 cents in about a week recently? Or are all offers picked up immediately?

Well if the market goes back to old prices we’re fu cked
            It is undoable
            Glyphosate has doubled since spring
            So have most fertilizers
Parts are at least double, etc, etc , etc
Wonder why someone doesn’t analyze the input side instead of the commodity prices ?
And this drought is far from over

You won't see a saskeverything press release about this issue like the one about farmers begging for mercy from graincos .

It hasn't hit the board members wallets yet.

Right on Case these prices are not high
Considering yields and cost of everything
Going bananas. The entire ag programs
                Need to be redone.

And we are already in drought territory
For next year no moisture what so ever
Several feet down. And it could even be worse
                Than this year

Once again , you won't see a saskeverything press release about this. Or any proactive solutions to next year.

Always reactive , dollar short and months late.

                  Zero vision on the commissions.

They should be worrying about next year. And if it does start to rain , at least they have put some resemblance of a proactive program in place.

My guess between the feds and th provincial government they will do nothing.

Why should we believe a climate prediction 30 years out, if they can't give us reasonable predictions for next year.

Sure wish they would have said something about the 2021 epic drought back in 2018. Would have changed my decisions.

All the parties have agreed weather can be
Bad strung out for more then one year
That’s our situation on our farm and now rhe
Programs will only pay people who had several good years
And now rhe bad one. They need it but way less than
Those of us into this for several years.
                    Programs have to change.

That’s the situation on many farms NE and East of here as well .
Contrary to the complete ignorance of some like Chuck that call farmers in these areas bad farmers or bad marketers , Mother Nature has dealt a very nasty hand to many areas . Not the b/s that all farmers have done very well the past few years . Reality is much different for more than what is believed or falsely be touted.
Yes some areas have been very fortunate, that’s very true , but not all
