    Barchart Cuts Canadian Wheat Projections

Canadian Spring Wheat Production - Forecast at 816.0M bu with a yield of 50.6 bu/ac. This compares to the AAFC's 920.8M bu of production and 53.5 bu/ac yield (includes spring wheat and winter wheat, excludes durum wheat).

Everyone has been focused on canola...

Spring wheat won't make 17mmt this year. And if some of these tours started using zeroes for the baled crop ...it might not hit 15mmt

have any of these morons been out of their air conditioned office ???

      these *** idiots are hilarious?

I am baffled by the stupidity of some of these companies. Yes, the border is closed but who the **** are they talking to. Wheat is going to be light and shriveled kernels. My 80 plus last year might be 35 this year at best. It's going backward daily.

Maybe the average for barley from these guys would be 100 and oats 180 Come on who is doing the math here.

Canada might not have much to ship at all.

Meanwhile the national farm organization GGC ...grain growers Canada...is having podcasts about rail movement...

If the railways phuck up moving this crop...I might as well seed the farm to grass.

Not the most important issue right now...but based in Eastern Canada so what can you expect.

Winter wheat will dictate where the price of HRSW goes. It’s called substation boys.

For all you durum traders out there .. I sure hope you aren’t counting bales as production.

We all hold the Ace of spades this year.

              Over and out!!

What a joke, 50.6 Bus. This is setting up for some real good prices, just like last years Canola. Let the industry get dooped. This is likely same in all markets. You can’t believe anything - there’s so much BS, it stinks to high heaven.

They can’t see the light when its staring them in the face, computer generated predictions/ projections and models just a shot in the dark.

They will move this crop just fine, but they will likely lay off staff and sell engines and cars and then won't be able to gear up for the following year and it will be the rail disaster if we get a normal crop again.

Whole great plains and pacific nortwest the same or worse?
There was a feature on CBC website yesterday about a blog from a Winnipeg outfit Weatherwatch? That showed rainfall amounts compaired to normal for july.
Our normal is 80mm we had 1.3mm.
Crop looks amazing on the good land considering those numbers but just can't possibly fill properly.

One big question that should be asked about the canola and wheat numbers ..... why are they deliberately lying ?
A lot are all up in arms about supposed “misinformation” these days .... yet are strangely quiet about this which is 100% false ..
Also the cry for accountability...... well we just all witnessed the need for accountability with yield projections that once again effect of financial livelihoods .
Whoever is responsible for these grossly misleading canola and wheat yield estimates needs to be held accountable, and that should be front and Center on a marketing forum , not bloody covid and vaccinations over and over and over .

You have to ask yourself why are there govt orgs even involved in estimating ag commodity production numbers? Way too much influence in the market and able to massage numbers.

I suspect there will be some blending of actual 2021 production into reporting 2022 seeding intentions to keep a lid on all this.

Maybe they dont want a food riot to happen. For this yr, there are no other countries to step in and supply those exports. FSU countries are restricting exports as well, Russia, and US and EU and Brazil have the same production problems we do.

Maybe food riots, hoarding, theft what could happen in a major drought? It could get pretty ugly, grain is a necessity even for vegans. Just gotta look at the shelves at Superstore, Walmart.
