              Excellent, you must live in an area where the BTO’s don’t swamp elevator space for the first 5 months after harvest. Most of us smaller guys here have zero choice to move a kernel of grain till Feb the past 8 years without a contract ahead of time. I envy you , most here below 10,000 acres would, we are just stuffed off as hobby farms .... we can never haul nothing unless you contract at least something.

              Kinda hard to farm and raise a family with zero income till Jan , maybe some are far more fortunate than this entire area

                Our soybeans were dry but went 11 bus /ax , I need $25 / bus lol . Glad it was only 20 acres

                  When you are surrounded by BTO’s and wanna b’s it’s a totally different perspective. We play by our own rules but still have to pay the piper .
                  Contracting 20% of average production ahead of time is a very smart business play here on average or your playing with old money or oil wells .

                  It’s a different world outside your doorstep
