I still think Agriville should delete covid threads from the marketing forum. Its a waist of time discussing and it also is very important we keep attention on our drought and farming problems. Anyone looking at this site would think were a bunch of redneck Republicans fighting with a bunch of doorknob Democrats over a problem that neither side will win. We are Canadians for ***cc sakes start acting like it.

I usually don’t bother commenting or getting involved on this site. But read it once in awhile.

Just curious chuckchuck what do you do for a living?
Perhaps you’re retired? Or living in your parents basement? Or living in a 50 million dollar mansion?
Not trying to be smart just an honest question.
If you think it’s none of my business fair enough don’t answer.

That chart does not prove what you claim. It only shows percentage of each racial group that had at least one dose of the vaccine. Just because the percentage of blacks and Hispanics is lower does not mean everyone of these groups who have not been vaccinated are opposed. It could be that they simply live in communities that have not had the same access to vaccines as other racial groups. It could be their legal status in the US and they do not want to risk identifying themselves. It says nothing about young progressives having lower vax rates as you claim. And finally, do you honestly belief only white people could be rednecks. If so you have never travelled the deep south.

If that chart is what you base your claim on, it is a perfect example of someone creating misinformation. You have taken a good data set and put a spin on it to make a point which is not proven by the data. This is why there is such division over vaccines.

PS interesting you chose a KFF report when the first example I provided refuting your claims was a KFF study which contradicts your claim.

PSS one further question for you jazz. Look at the chart closely Jazz and explain to me why the rates for Asian, Blacks, and Hispanics are are climbing faster now than for whites? You would think if blacks and Hispanics are more opposed they whites their rate of vaccinations would have slowed while white people would have continued at the same rate.

Greater than 99.999% of double vaccinated folks will not die should they become infected with any COVID-19 variant to date. That's a healthy statistic to have on your side. No basement life there.

What statistic do the unvaccinated folks have working for them? What was Jazz's purpose for taking a single shot?

Let me know when the current storyline (the unvaccinated pose a risk to vaccinated -huh?) changes, then I might take your ramblings seriously.

Looks like 98.88%. that is a far cry from 99.999%.

He only underestimated the death rate by a factor of more than 1100.
                  Minor rounding error.
Did you know that 90% of all statistics are made up?
I used this joke once before and Chuck took it seriously and tried to prove me wrong, so I will include the joke disclaimer this time.

15 or so people died (in a week); after getting vaccinated. On top of that Taiga had to add "locally" for extra emphasis.

Not one retraction or clarification of obvious lies that I've seen...although it was a very nice reprieve for that person to temporarily cease and desist........... until noticing the above drivel that might be expected from some brat kid.

For example this KFF health care study comparing vaccinated with unvaccinated found: "Compared To Those Who Have Received A COVID-19 Vaccine, Unvaccinated Adults Are Younger, Less Educated, More Likely To Be Republicans, People Of Color, And Uninsured https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/poll-finding/kff-covid-19-vaccine-monitor-profile-of-the-unvaccinated/

There are lots of stats but cannot link to the page so let me just highlight a few. Of the unvaccinated 49% claim to be republican. 29% claim to be democrats. 56% of unvaccinated respondents were white, 19% Hispanic and 14% black

Bloomberg reported July 21: "As the Covid-19 delta variant spreads throughout the U.S., states facing the biggest spikes in new cases also tend to be those doing an especially poor job vaccinating their largest racial group, White people."
"Recent polls have found Republicans and White evangelicals are least likely to say they’ll get the shots, which may account for less uptake among White people in certain states, especially in the South, Midwest and West. " https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/us-vaccine-demographics.html

On July 31 the New York Times reported: "In one group are those who say they are adamant in their refusal of the coronavirus vaccines; they include a mix of people but tend to be disproportionately white, rural, evangelical Christian and politically conservative, surveys show."

Jazz unless, you can provide a source for your claim, you are making misleading claims about vaccinations. Maybe Furrowtickler can help you find the source seeing as he apparently agrees with your claim.
To be skeptical about printing absolute lies and gross stretches of the truth need not be proven every time a writer comes up with new garbage statistics and "news" stories always in 10 times normal font size.

Once a person destroys their credibility and responds with childish excuses and interpretations....it is only those who have the same brain functions that will factor that into their continuance of denying an ongoing worldwide pandemic.

Non vaccinated persons have put themselves months behind others who were more sensible. When vaccine supplies were limited and obviously not adequate for the demand; little damage was being done.

As of about June 1/2021 (in Canada) that changed. And I've always conceded that those who contracted the disease and recovered should have their own immunity maybe roughly equivalent to a single vaccine dose. But that's akin to gambling and relying on one vaccine dosage isn't typically anywhere near 100% protective........from all the data I've seen from scientific data from usually reliable sources.

I put it to non vaxxer's and Covid deniers that it is a misnomer to call the information they rely on as anything approaching scientific data.

Firmly held beliefs; dogma and closed minds seem commonplace in minorities who just won't accept principles developed before their relatively short time of existence. This is strongly expressed by the minorities demeanor and tone in their analysis important developing issues. And it tends to concentrate itself where those persons only listen to themselves, their religious advisors and their disdain for social norms; justice principles, constitutions and laws previously made by sincere democratically elected officials.

Beware usurpers spreading outright lies and falsehoods.
