And since Chuck asked what you like or dislike about O'Toole and so many of you are praising his policies I have a question. A major promise O'Toole made a number of times and one that is in the Conservative platform is that his government will build 1 million affordable houses in the next 3 years. Does anyone else have trouble with this promise?

Consider that in all of Canada about 250 thousand homes are constructed each year and in the last 25 years only one time has a third of a million homes been built. Yet the Conservatives pledge to build this many affordable homes 3 years in a row. Where are they going to find the skilled workers to build a million homes in 3 years? I suspect some builders and trades persons will want to continue building their own homes instead of become employees of the government for 3 years. And what will this do to the price of building suppliers on top of labor costs? I hope no one on the list has building plans in the next few years if the Conservatives win. Most importantly, what does it cost to build an affordable home, or convert a federal owned office building into homes? If it is $100,000. per unit, to build 1 million homes in 3 years would total $100billion dollars. So much for solving the deficieit crisis. Oh, the promise sounds great in principle, but the lack of planning is on the same scale as ending the wheat board and changing ag stability. No planning + no costing,= planned failure. The same as every other platform policy in the Conservative Recovery Plan. Nothing is cost or budgeted. Just a lot of high ideals and empty promises

Speaking of ag, I again urge everyone to read the platform and see just how little is of any value to a grain farmer. Oh, but supply managed producers are well taken care of again.
Maybe they should just give that money to other countries with nothing to show for it like another party seems to do?

Man I hope this election is Trudeau’s undoing, he might have misjudged this one. Between the forced mandatory vaccinations, Covid bs, debt and deficit, Afghanistan, calling election for no real good reason, this could be it.
O’Toole is getting better press. 1000 times more qualified than Trudeau. Will probably still vote for Maverick. Conservative is a shoe in here anyway. NDP will likely take a lot of Liberal votes.

Which party are you referring too since the party which contributed the highest percentage of Canadian dollars to foreign aide since 1968 was the PC party. And even the Harper government gave away more dollars per GNI than the current PM does? ATTACH]8393[/ATTACH]Click image for larger version

You really think it matters who wins? Nothing changes. Promises made promises broken. All we can hope for is less incompetence.

Agstar It is an absolute guarantee there will be less incompetence after that ****ing failure at everything Trudo is out! It is incon****inceivable that any other current party leader could be as stupid as Trudo. Singh might come close but he could never top the current Trudo/Freeland combo.

Trudeau or Ohtool? Liberal and Liberal lite.

No matter who wins, the losers are the right wing intolerant social conservatives and fiscal hawks who will be pushed aside and relegated to the margins. That's most of the usual suspects on agrisilly.

Ohtool looks to be relatively progressive for a Conservative, compared to Harper and Scheer. The Cons have little chance of winning without a move to the left.

A minority government of either Ohtool or Trudeau would be tolerable for the very large majority of Canadians who are centre left.

Canada is a left leaning progressive country where even the Conservatives are considered socialists by the Republicans. That isn't going to change, as much as the western Canadian wanna be Republicans think it will.

Take the labels away and look at the two individuals. There is no comparison. A successful lawyer and a career in the Canadian Armed Forces versus a ****ing dope smoking racist, ass grabber, screwer of underage students, never completed anything, silver spoon bitch that got in because of his name and the crooked situation of ridings down east with hardly any people and ridings out west with 8 times as many people.

Yeah Trudeau has done some really stupid things. And worse than that he is too left leaning and you hate his politics.

You wouldn't be a little biased in evaluating the character of left leaning politicains would ya?

But with all his overt personal failings of even a greater magnitude, Trump was the best President ever! LOL

On dml's recomendation I spent a few minutes researching Mr Treudau's qualifications as PM as a result of his time spent teaching math and drama.
This is about 20 min of Google search looking at the first page of results so by no means extensive.

His first experience seems to be at Grey's Academy a pre K to 12 h
High School in a rich area of Hongcouver. Described as a safe Liberal seat since 1984.
Anybody can attend but tuition for Jr Kindergarten is $21000 and up as you move to older kids.
School opened in 1996 with Mr Treudau hired in about 1999.
A couple of mostly entertainment rags solicited tweets from former Students of which most featured basicly said " I just had his as a sub but he was much more energetic and entertaining than the regular teacher."
Appears to be a promotional hire to attract high income progressive money to a start up for profit venture. Most important task appeared to be make himself available at fundraising functions for photo ops.
Saw no evidence of being a full time math teacher. How can you be full time and remembered as having seen once as a sub.
Ended at 2 yrs and then on to sub at Winston Churchill High noted as a french emerson elite public school also in Vancouver.

So an energetic and entertaining substitute teacher.
Sounds more like qualifications for a clown than a PM?

So which of those two liberal schools was it revealed, that Justin Trudeau wore blackface and posed with the other teachers(who didn't seem to think anything was wrong with him wearing it)???
