We know it is inevitable the Conservative party would shift left but in another era and machination the progressive Conservative party was already there, to the point characters like David Orchard once inhabited its realms. The Reform Party was born when the PC’s lost touch with its western members needs, and met its own Afghanistan trying to appease the québécois with meetch lake. In the end the BQ split off from the pc’s as well. So, thinking the CPC is going left is actually just revisiting where we’ve already been. O’Toole is taking a page from the Mulroney playbook and uniting the nation even though it could spawn the birth of another reform party. But honestly I don’t think it will go far enough like before.

Both Biden and Trudeau’s record after Afghanistan is deplorable. They knew full well that there would be chaos after Biden withdrew the troops from Aphanistan. With more than six months to strategize and plan for the safe removal of assistants and families, they chose to through their doors open to thousands of illegals instead. Shameful!

Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh at the ignorance and childish posts on this forum. Yesterday I challenged flea beetle on his insinuation that the Liberals spend more in foreign aide than the Conservatives. I provided this chart which shows the average yearly expenditure in foreign aide by PM from 1968-2019 to back up my challenge of his assertion.
It is important to note that flea beetle did not provide any data, facts, or proof to back up his claim that the Liberals outspend the Conservatives on foreign aide so it makes his following response even funnier: "Funny story. Now get a chart that isn’t from 2019"
And immediately CaseIH has to jump in with this insult: "Fu c k dML
There’s those damn details again
Poor buggers always a dollar short and a day behind insteading of refuting what I shared or providing any evidence of flea beetles claim.
So for the two of you, here is some more information for 2020 Canadian foreign aide spending records to provide information for 2020 (last year since spending for 2021 is not over) And for the math challenged, remember the chart shows averages over the term so it would require a significant increase in spending in 2020 by Trudeau in order to increase the average spending for his 5+ years as PM.
"in 2020, Canada’s official development assistance rose by 7.7 per cent over the previous year, reaching of gross national income0.3 per cent, its highest proportion since 2012,... (note it was the Harper government in power in 2012 and now in 2020 Trudeau is reaching a level of foreign aide that Harper was spending in 2012. Note too that Harper averaged 0.3%of GNI over his term in office whereas J Trudeau averaged 0.27% until 2019 therefore simply meeting what Harper spent for 2020 will not increase Trudeaus average above Harpers. Full article: https://www.cips-cepi.ca/2021/05/03/federal-budget-2021-foreign-aid/
Another report from April 2020: "In fact, the figures for 2019, released earlier today, reveal that Canada under the current government is less generous than the previous year, less generous than the Harper government and less generous than its peers. Under the Conservatives (2006-2015), Canada’s official development assistance (ODA) averaged 0.30% of gross national income (GNI), the standard measure used to compare aid levels. When the Liberals were first elected in 2015, ODA stood at 0.28% of GNI, a ratio that the Trudeau government has never surpassed. In fact, in 2019, that figure fell to 0.27%, down from 0.28% the previous year." full article: https://www.cips-cepi.ca/2020/04/20/foreign-aid-flows-the-canadian-government-is-still-not-stepping-up-to-the-plate/
So Flea beetle/caseih I have provided the called for documentation you say I needed to, how about either of you providing any factual data to back up your claims instead of just childish insults.

When you present data and facts that back up your argument, you often get lame juvenile insults from the usual suspects.
When you post an article that is counter to their thinking, their favorite whine is, it's too long to read or don't you have a thought of your own?
When you ask for evidence and numbers to support their arguments you are unlikely to get nothing but personal attacks.
It's all hat and no cattle when it comes to discussing many issues.
Long on personal opinions and very short on credible evidence.
