This year, Reglone worked well with the heat. We were surprised to combine in 3 or 4 days. We never stopped and sample is pristine. Maybe just the year.

Regloned lentils are unlikely to regrow. You can see lots of missed strips with the header in the fall after good rains and they dont restart.

Lentils can take a rain or two. This first shot was very slow coming down and today is sort of drying. I still have most of mine out.

Standing Durum self-desiccated and was testing 14-16 before .8 rain. We are hoping to get going again this afternoon.

Its going to be a tough year fo4 every one, exporters and farmers.
I suggest moving from a #2 ob bid to a #3 ob bid an$ get rid of the discounts.

This should apply to other grains as well, durum, canola, etc

Exporters sell on specifications not always CGC , for example bushel weight etc. The terminals mix it all into the same bin.

Do the terminals not use computerized bining and blending?

The previous high price was over .60 cents per pound for red lentils

Most other commodities (canola $23, durum $21, etc) are setting new high prices. Red lentils are having enough problems production wise in several countries seems reasonable to expect over .60 doesn’t it?

Wonder how frost will impact Australia lentils, canola etc

Down Under Weather Extremes... Sydney, Australia had its coldest day since 1984 and its coldest August day since 1962. At the same time, a rapidly deepening "bomb cyclone" off the New South Wales coast has brought damaging winds and surf south of Sydney and snow and freezing conditions to the central portion.

Friday forecast in lentil areas is -1. They harvest in november, would this coincide with flowering and pollination tim8ng?

Do you have a link to that aussie news rare? I searched and couldnt find any outlets talking frost down there.
