SE Sask , Manitoba rain ?

    How much
Radar alway shows more but looks like a fair amount?

    #2
    Inch in Regina

I think more to the east

Lentils and peas that are left out won’t be much fun now.

Eastern Manitoba, right around 3 inches.

Many other parts of MB. got anywhere from 1 inch to 3 inches.

But it is clearing for the Rider game today. 👍 Rain in forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Lentil fields still out near us are greening up again. A lot of Canola is grass-green also. Do you think we will get another month of frost-free weather?

Depending on Wednesday morning , after the system clears out
Full moon tonight , definitely a huge weather change here now as of yesterday.

Almost uncanny that rains return right in harvest like 2002 .

We started harvest that year early , never finished till late November

Yes, has happened MANY years here. 1968 combines never moved for 6 weeks, first year CORN dryers made it up here.

Today’s high grain prices keep edging further away from reach with weather .

Like window shopping at a Porsche dealership.... look but not much chance of ever getting it ..

Hopefully it stays decent after this next big system but who knows

With that much rain do you expect to see enough regrowth on any particular types to make a difference if it was pasture.
Grow any Meadow grasses or Fescues?

                    What grows in fall?

They are starting to really separate pricing on grades and protein now. Guys with protein wont have weight. Guys with weight might have sprouting. We didnt need 2 inches of rain in durum right now.

Not only is the crop short in volume, there appears to be little quality coming off. Double whammy for the markets.

We have received 30 to 40 mm since yesterday. Good for late soy and next year. Won't end well for standing canola.

Virden area, looked to be under a very slow moving cell, wouldn't doubt they received multiple inches.
We were away from the periphery, but still managed to get 14mm, happy for anything.

                            6/10 might make pastures grow.

All grasses love the rain, and there should be good regrowth with the good amount of rain that most of MB received yesterday and with what is still coming.

There is plenty of growing season left this summer and early fall. Grasses do grow long into the season with proper moisture.

Don't know where you live but a good forage retailer would know exactly what pasture or hay mixture would be best suited for you area.
