They are starting to really separate pricing on grades and protein now. Guys with protein wont have weight. Guys with weight might have sprouting. We didnt need 2 inches of rain in durum right now.

Not only is the crop short in volume, there appears to be little quality coming off. Double whammy for the markets.

We have received 30 to 40 mm since yesterday. Good for late soy and next year. Won't end well for standing canola.

Virden area, looked to be under a very slow moving cell, wouldn't doubt they received multiple inches.
We were away from the periphery, but still managed to get 14mm, happy for anything.

          6/10 might make pastures grow.

Grow any Meadow grasses or Fescues?

            What grows in fall?

All grasses love the rain, and there should be good regrowth with the good amount of rain that most of MB received yesterday and with what is still coming.

There is plenty of growing season left this summer and early fall. Grasses do grow long into the season with proper moisture.

Don't know where you live but a good forage retailer would know exactly what pasture or hay mixture would be best suited for you area.

3.5" yesterday in southwest Manitoba. Wheat harvest was in full swing. Good for the pastures and fall work though.

Neighbors heifers came for a visit this morn. Got them in holding but told the guys if they want to use the allyway they will need rubber boots to load them nice 3 inch rain.
