    Agristability and contracts

If I was more tech savvy I would do a legitimate poll to see who agrees with contract buyouts being an eligible expense.
I feel it should not be , let the grain cos come up with a solution or work with the contractor.

I had no forward sales this year, we were in a drought situation prior to seeding.

If the buyouts are a cash out flow it should be a legit expense.

If i had a futures hedge account, that margin call or loss on the hedge should also be expensable.

Futures losses are shown as negative income. I’m not in Agristability but buyouts should be declared as income and any penalties should be a expense, but Agrisilly doesn’t necessarily have to make sense.

Perfect,,,those big farms have more influence with politicians .

And my constant bitching will become a whisper when they start lobbying.

And just wait until dealerships are not selling much... those two year trades haven't done much and should be good for another season.....oh oh...

Interest needs to be an expense also then

Crop I sold last year for 10 when it went to
20 later is an expense also. No difference.
Whether I paid it or didn’t get it.

Will have to wait a while longer, large green tractors and combines are sold out next year.

When BSE hit.the drop in value of your breeding herd was a deduction. But government was quick to change that so it wasn't longer a deduction.Sounds like government is helping out some buddies like they did in the 80s drought and all the farmers that were real close to the government ended up with air headers paid by crop insurance to salvage more grain .
