Harvest time rain

Now that we are on the eve of harvest season, more rain will fall than fell all growing season as it normally does here east of Edmonton. We are now into the second inch this go around and will likely get one more before this ends. Tried swathed canola late Saturday afternoon and was 11.5 and 12.8%. Now losing yield due to too much rain as the thin swaths will be hard to pick up after this.

Only 11 mm here west of edmonton,would like to see 6in over a week or so,I dont have any crop to harvest just grass and some disced up hay fields that sure need rain,mostly for next yr now.

Been a rare occasion to have a dry harvest out here. Thought it would happen this year. Fat chance.

If you get 6 in now, you will not seed that land next spring.

It will take 6 in to recharge soil moisture. We are just over 2 and it is gone.

Showers adding up since yesterday morning.
Big rains supposed to be later today and tomorrow
Local area about 30% done in general
More done east of here
Less as you go west
